Since when does Google register people to vote?

Post by A-Wing_Slash »

Ok, so I just opened up Google Earth, and the image centered over the continental US. Each state had a red white and blue star in the middle, which when clicked causes a little box to appear with all the information neccessary to register to vote in that state. I must be living in some kind of hole in the ground, because this surprised me. Anyway, did it just do this because it can tell I'm an American, or is worldwide voter registration in google's future?

By the way, it seems like a very good thing to do. :D

It seems to be for everyone. Dunno what's up with it though, I just noticed it myself and thought it was a regular feature.
