What is C&C3 gonna be, a nBSG convention?

Here's to Tricia Helfer wearing an improbable uniform. Preferably Nod. And Boomer too.

From a business point of view making C&C3 an actual proper C&C game unlike generals is a great way for EA to make money. For a relatively insignificant sum of money they can have the trademark cheesy live action scenes which the franchise fanbase want. They seem to want to actually making the game feel like a part of the series unlike Generals which was just a generic RTS. It should turn out as a good but conventional RTS which non C&C but RTS fans can enjoy. (If that makes sense to anyone). A sales win-win and they get to keep one of their brands alive.

They learned that lesson with Generals. I just hope they get Frank Klepacki to compose the soundtrack again and let him do it by himself (Tiberian Sun's tracks sucked, IMO).

Wow thats a great cast, especially good to see Billy Dee Williams and Michael ironside in there. I've always loved the live-action C&C footage, so I hope they bring this off.

Wow, sounds like they're really going balls to the walls with this one. Good on 'em, it will be great to see a return to classic C&C cheese-dom.

Kane lives in death.
I can't wait to get my stealth on Hopefully I'll be able to run this when it comes out.

Any word on system requirements?

EDIT: Wouldn't it be awesome if Nod were the good guys, and used Tiberium for the advancement of humanity into an new levels of power?

While I'm pleased to see that they're getting real actors to be in C&C3, I must admit to being disappointed to see that Frank Zagarino (Slavik) isn't on the list. I wonder if they're going to destroy the Nod Montaunk like they did with the Kodiak to kill McNeil, just say he retired, or not mention him.

I hope it's not the Tiberian Sun style cutscenes.

I hope it's a cross between say, the Red Alert style scenes, and 'Act of War', which was handed very well in terms of video. It's what C&C Generals /should/ have been in that sense.

Nod could not be more moustachio-rotational if it had the Antichrist as a leader. To paraphrase Isador, 'There is no such thing as good. Only degrees of evil.'

It's a possibility, but I doubt it. TS is the only full Command and Conquer game where the characters in the cutscenes never address the player. And in Firestorm the generals spoke to you, so obviously Westwood decided to go back to that style. True, Westwood's not doing this one, but C&C3's production team seems to prefer Tiberian Dawn style stuff to Tiberian Sun stuff.

If I were a gambling man, I'd bet on it having more RA style cutscences, with maybe the occasional Generals Zero Hour-esque newcast thrown in.

Beyond the scope of this thread, but have these been posted before? They seem to refer to the rumor that Red Alert and C&C are in teh same timeline, Kane having been hidden player behind the Soviets.
