I could not agree more. I hate those ads; they're condescending as hell and make me detest the company that uses that sort of advertisement as a marketing hinge.

Can we not quote my pictures please? And it wouldn't matter in the long run if AK-47s were sold to the Confederates; that doesn't give them training and they'll run out of ammo in one hell of a hurry.

The North had more manpower than the South by a significant margin, a total stranglehold on maritime trade, a gigantic industrial edge (I don't care how good they made the Confederates with the weapons, they still can't manufacture replacement parts or ammunition, which they will run out of eventually), and all-around better ability to prosecute a war. All handing over assault rifles would accomplish is a bloodier war with the same ultimate result.
