Quite true, and those people sicken me. Really that kind of mentality is actually worse because it's a "get out of jail free" card for those who are already chosen to stand and say they're better than everyone else.Darth Wong wrote: Not necessarily. Calvinists believe that free will is an illusion and that God pre-ordained the kind of things you would do in life and whether you would go to Heaven or Hell before you were even born. Yet that never stopped Calvinists from advocating harsh treatment of people they deemed "sinners". It's all "God's will".
Likely. Still, it opens the possibilty for slightly more rational thinkers to consider resisting that line of thought. You CAN combat an argument like that through logic, and some would listen. It's a numbers game, like anything else. If you can push the negative attitudes towards gays even as far back as the negative attitudes towards, say, blacks in America and make those who hold such values about as well respected as the Clan, then that would have been a major success.Indeed like other inate things they don't like, they would most likely adopt a "It's yet another test of God!" and argue that 'God made you gay, so you could prove your worth by resisting homosexual urges!"
