More recent. My DoD clan helped setup a tournament group recently(UCL if anyone is interested). We finished second overall, got beat out right before finals. It was something serious like 199 to 8 the first half and 220 to 15 if we were lucky the first time. Most of my clan is on the west coast, me being the only active member from the east coast. We played a group who is situated in Chicago with a suck ass server. I do mean suckass since most of us had around 45-60 choke constant. We went in without practice, without seeing how bad we choked and they just drilled us. You'd clear the alley, make a dash towards theres and just fall over as you got trucked by their bar guy. Horrendous.

This thread brings back painful memories. Day of Defeat Cal-Open playoffs (an online gaming league) round 1, my team is matched up against a team full of aliasing Cal-Invite (4 levels in cal; Open, Intermediate, Main and Invite) players who are playing in Open for "fun" (rape newer teams). Ther map was Anzio and and our bridge squad got taken apart quickly, but my heavy partner and I were barely managing to hold the plaza by inventing a new definition for camping and we proned and hid in the most random places imaginable. So eventually they decided to rotate over their sniper and a rifle and tore us apart, in the end we lost by around 600 points.. ouch
