Notebook HD replacement suggestions?

Post by Edward Yee »

Any particular models, brands, specs or stuff to ask (in-store) if I want to replace my current HP Pavilion dv1000 HD, lest it be dying? (60 GB, I think 5400rpm, heard what I think was it squeaking during failed power up attempts.)

Seagate and Hitachi make good mobile drives. They also offer 7200RPM drives for laptops.
