Banninate Kilik
As I'm all for self-fulfulling prophecies, and since Darth Wong said it was time for a poll in This thread. I bring the following question to my fellow Senators.
Do we ban Kilik?
Evidence includes the thread listed above, and his very first post on the board.
My take is that all this retard does is post tinfoil hat, UFO consipracy theorist, New Age fluff-bunny crap from other websites. In that regard, he's much like the free energy nutjob that we banned some time ago.

All of his activity on the board can be summarized as "YOU MUST READ THIS WEBSITE!!!! SCIENTISTS ARE KEEPING THE TRUTH FROM YOU!!!!"
Fucking useless. I especially like the part where I demanded that he provide some evidence other than his website, so he posted ... another link to the same website. I had half a mind to ban him at that instant.

I think I'm not alone in saying that as part of the standards we have in determining who should be a member of this community, before we even get to *what* they say we should determine that they actually want to discuss anything at all.
Kilik doesn't seem to want to discuss anything; he wants us to listen to him and treat what he has to say as revelation. To that end, he's not a member of the community - he's a road-side billboard in the community, and I think we have enough ads without giving them usernames.

Note: I'm semi-retired from the board, so if you need something, please be patient.

His first reply in that thread was to say: "OMG, teh skeptics r wrong!!11" and then his notion of evidence is to post yet another link to that psychic forbidden archeology nutjob site he was so intent on pimping in his first post . . . while implying that a conspiracy of scientists exists for the purpose of oppressing psychics.Frank Hipper wrote:He has made a couple replies in the Bimini thread, and it's awfully rare that we get Atlantis/Forbidden Archeology nuts around here.
Can we keep it for just a little while longer, pretty please?
In short he's not worth the bandwidth consumed by the spam-fests his zero-IQ posts have spawned.

As far as I could tell, those replies were simply him telling us to look at the OP again.Frank Hipper wrote:He has made a couple replies in the Bimini thread, and it's awfully rare that we get Atlantis/Forbidden Archeology nuts around here.

While his lack of enthusiasm is unsatisfying to me in the extreme, please understand I get excited when a moron comes around spouting "alternative" archeology.Darth Wong wrote:As far as I could tell, those replies were simply him telling us to look at the OP again.Frank Hipper wrote:He has made a couple replies in the Bimini thread, and it's awfully rare that we get Atlantis/Forbidden Archeology nuts around here.Well, that will be up to the groupCan we keep it for just a little while longer, pretty please?
A swift execution, obviously, is for the best; he's just no fun.

He just made another reply to the Bimini Road thread. This time, he flatly asserts that scientists are unambitious people who go into science solely to maintain the status quo.Frank Hipper wrote:While his lack of enthusiasm is unsatisfying to me in the extreme, please understand I get excited when a moron comes around spouting "alternative" archeology.Darth Wong wrote:As far as I could tell, those replies were simply him telling us to look at the OP again.Frank Hipper wrote:He has made a couple replies in the Bimini thread, and it's awfully rare that we get Atlantis/Forbidden Archeology nuts around here.Well, that will be up to the group :)Can we keep it for just a little while longer, pretty please?

I think we should play with him again. I like the "Banned Man Walking" idea. Let's see what he feels about Noah's Ark stuff, maybe? A few giggles before being 86'd?
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!

Let's ban him so hard his father feels it in his testicles. What a worthless cunt.
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

Ban. There's no place for this horseshit on this board.
Any city gets what it admires, will pay for, and, ultimately, deserves…We want and deserve tin-can architecture in a tinhorn culture. Up to the point when he said "I will prove things to my timetable, not yours" when challenged to back his arguments is when he crossed the line.

He doesn't even spout interesting drivel. He's not even vaguely amusing. If I want links to tinfoil hat sites I can use Google. I come here for thoughtful, interesting discussion and/or creative insults. His posts are notably lacking in all of those.
Ban.

He's been banned from The Skeptics Society Forum Index:

Well, I didn't research the Sphinx, but I did research Killik. Apparently, he's quite famous for this shit.
He's been banned from The Skeptics Society Forum Index:
He's been banned from Randi.org:As noted, Killik posts no arguments, just links.... endless, mindless links. Refuting the individual claims inherent in the links is not necessary. If they all follow the same vein as did the first few I clicked (never to bother again), they don't require 'refutation'. They are essentially statements of belief and there is little doubt the authors truly believe them.
If Killik, or one of those authors, or OKR would care to make a specific scientific claim, I'm certain it would receive attention. Perhaps it is easier to simply post endless links -basically holding up someone else's efforts -and demand skeptics refute it all, as if you were assigned the job of Belief Brokers? -not part of it, just a self-appointed channel, holding up the belief statements of others and showing them to still others, demanding the second set refute the first set. It is exceedingly difficult to debate a link, given that links can't respond, answer questions, explain inconsistencies and outright idiocies, etc.
(From the The Skeptics Society Forum)Kilik posted the same thread [at Randi.org] last year. By the time he posted it, several people were already tired of his antics and were making fun of him as well; however, in the thread (which is some 7 or more pages long), some of us manage to adequately refute most of his gibberish.
It's been done. It's just not fun anymore.
Yup, ban 'im. Or send him to Darkstar.

Good-bye, Kilik. And good riddance. Perhaps some day, you'll grow up and realize how little you actually know.
