For the record, Mario Sunshine is by far the most fucking annoying game I have ever played. Good music, good graphics, shitty physics, bad control, HORRID camera. It also annoys me that Mario had more moves in 64. And I dislike the damn water tank.
I have to agree with you there, some peopel have been saying it's the best Mario ever, and while I do agree that it was okay and good to see new things happening to an old series, but it really was shit to play. You had to beat the first 6 areas of every level to get to the boss, and thats what kept me from wanting to beat the game. If there is a level in your way that requires a talent you don't have, you shit outta luck, unlike Super Mario 64 where you could just skip ahead in the level and get the next star to move on. Also anything involving the FLUDD was hard to control, the hover had shit for turning, the rocket boost had to be aimed blind, the jet pack move faster than the camera so you had to steer blind, and the water jet was a little hard to aim.

And the complete and blatant lack of Goombas just pissed me off.

It was quite challenging for a Zelda game, and you could play as four different races. Goron Link was fun. Not to mention Fierce Deity Link.

I have to agree with most of these, but I'm not quite far enough in the game for the rest of it.

You didn't see the Goombas? I saw plenty in the first level.

I have to say one thing, The Legend of Zelda was the best of all games, and the best of course of the Zelda titles. However every one of them are damn good. Especially Zelda II the Adventures of Link. At first I didn't like it. Once you get to playing and realize how expansive that world truely is, you can truely appreciate it. Shadow Link at the end was a bad ass boss.

Honourable mentions:

Sonic the Hedgehog. They're just so damn smooth.

Now we're talking. That game was so fucking amazing. I loved it. Rogue Leader is exhilerating too. It seems to up the TIE numbers in the missions. Instead of running into maybe two or three at a time, there will be ten or more flying. Whew!!!

Try some of the older NES games. Games like Kabuki Quantum Fighter, Double Dragon, any Mega Man game.
Sega Genesis you have to play the Sonic the Hedgehog games. In fact, I bought a Sega smash pack for the PC. $10 at Wal Mart had Sonic 2 on it, Comix Zone and a few great others.

Network "Startrek" Ascii code game: there was one floating around that was like the old pilot the enterprise, visit stations, seek and destroy, that was MULTIPLAY, and you explored planets, and blasted other players too!

(Ok, I know I'm dating myself here, the Graphics were text code based, but it was so damn fun)

Phantasy Star Online Ver. 1, Ver. 2, and Episode 2: I have really no clue how many months, because when I add up the hours...I think I've had girlfriends for less time.

Total Annihilation - best RTS to date
Independance War - best space combat sim (with possible exception of IW2, which I haven't played yet)
"Star Trek - The Computer Game" - C64 version of the seemingly eternal "seek and destroy" Star Trek computer game. Best one IMO; the hits are cool (the screen "garbles" and goes in every which color), and while the repetition of the main theme gets a little repetitive, it still sounds cool.
"Star Trek - 25th Anniversary" - Just plain best Star Trek game ever. That last mission is a total bitch, too.

I was thinking about getting GTA3 for my computer, but I'm not sure if my video card can handle it. I'm also thinking about getting the Platinum 5-pack Edition of Halflife, but I know I'll need to get a new video card for that.

If your graphics card might be able to handle GTA3 why would it have any problems with HL?

Didn't like E&B. The economy was static and that ruined the tradesman for me. Also, you couldn't be a tradesman and also mine. That sucked.

What I want in a space based MMORPG is X: Beyond the Frotier (or better yet X-Tension) online. I hear they are working on a MMORPG version. It looks awesome, if it isn't vapourware.

Unfortunately, you can't explore space in Star Wars: Galaxies. Hopefully a future expantion will take care of that. Otherwise I won't be playing.

What I really want to do is be a independent Tramp Frieghter pilot, who can grow their business into a massive multi-planet empire. X-Tension had that, but it was single player.

I don't have Full OpenGL support, it's the reason I can't run Voyager: Elite Force.

PC: Freespace 2
Gamecube:Metroid Prime(It's about fucking time they made a new one!)
PS2:Gran Turismo 3
Xbox:Halo(heaven on earth!)

I have always loved the old Genesis Sonic games(1-3 and Sonic and Knuckles, none of that spin-off bullshit like Dr. Robotnik's mean bean machine).

Goldeneye ruled my life for a LONG time. It's style is still being copied to this day.

Rogue Squadron for the N64 was in my opinion better than the newer one for the Gamecube. Rogue Squadron 2 felt rushed, half of the missions were rehashes. The game's only redeeming qualities were the graphics and the Battle of Endor mission(which is pure bliss BTW)
