The point these guys are making in a stupid, confusing way, is some things Jesus is reported to have said in the Gospels were OK.
In other words, one can't have a morality that concides with Christianity without being an 'Atheist for Jesus'. Bastards. If they need someone to follow but can't help but be atheists, why not be a budhist?

These are basically people who don't believe in God, but buy into the Christian Propaganda Machine's claims about Jesus being all-loving and the Bible being the "Good Book," so they seek what is nothing more than a political compromise.
It's like people who believe in the theory of evolution, yet they think "creationists bring up some good points, too," so they dream up this intelligent design bullshit. Many atheists are just too insecure to risk being at direct odds with the majority's belief.
