Doubtful you'll get much of a response. Judging from the email he's a hit and run style of troll. He'll probably forget this place even exists in a day or two if he hasn't already.

I thought that Jesus said something about converting then burning in hell (From which we get "Burn the heretic at the Stake!"). With the heretic non jews being converted forcably (Or was that Islam) and all but 1,000 jews to be wiped out or converted.
I may be thinking of Peter or Paul...

Bah, you christians and your silly religion :P (At least Jews admit the bible is stupidly given to interpretation with layers of Mishnot, Talmud, etc' given to adding new nitpicking rules and interpretations).
:P

Yes I know he's an Atheist, (any N00b's reading this post and confused as to why I talk to Christians while answering a post by Wong)

There is also a quote along the lines of, "Do you see that child? It would be better for a man to tie a boulder to himself and throw himself in the depths of the ocean than lead a child astray."
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

I always thought they told atheists our lives are empty because if we're not secretly miserable, then it looks an awful lot like we're just having more fun than they are. It's like the fox complaining the grapes are probably sour anyway.
The traditional Christian name for someone who believes that humans are capable of determining morality then abiding by it, to live decently without intercession from god is "Palagian Heretic".

From the KJV:
Matt 18:3-6 wrote:And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Mark 9:42 wrote:And whosoever shall aoffend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
Luke 17:1-2 wrote:Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offenses will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

As a final point, mankind would not have progressed without Christianity.
Oh yes, everytime I start my car I thank JESUS for creating the combustion engine.

Everytime my cellphone wakes me up in the morning I thank the LORD for creating electronics.

It must suck badly being such a fundie Christian. You can't actually take pride in ANYTHING, since all achievements, successes and discoveries are accounted to an invisible pink dragon in the closet.

For me, Christian religion comes down to a single quote:

You have unknowingly hit upon a trait that they encourage. Being proud of any kind of achievement without given due credit to God is considered sin of pride.

Indeed. Christianity is based on death and guilt, so pride obviously has no place in it. You are supposed to feel guilty for being human (literally), your entire life is spent preparing for what supposedly happens after you die, and the only way to be absolved of that guilt is to associate yourself with a human sacrifice. It's virtually impossible to take this kind of ideology and incorporate pride in one's own accomplishments.
