Some DoW:Dark Crusade screetshots (NSF56K).
I took these using Single Player skirmish, so there's no spoilers for the campain
"The Monolith, if we destroy that this will be over! CHARGE!!"
the Tau spreading the so called "greater good" to some followers of chaos
as powerful as the Tau are in ranged fighting
there are ways to deal with them (I was fighting the Tau with these Necrons)

Here's a few DoW screenshots from a few games chris and I have had, usually with unit cap mods, as you can see, it gets a little silly, just look at the amount of bodies!

In a flare of cyan death-rays, I finally understood why Tau don't have turrets.
Ready a Broadside!
On the other hand, all the turrets in the world may not even slow some guys down.
We am stealthy. like Bizzaro ninja.
T'au do not use t'anks. T'au prefer evil cows. Right.
In Greater Good, Xeno burn you!
Shas'O hates fucking stealth.
And in conclusion: *ominous hum*

According to wikipedia, "the Mohorovičić discontinuity is the boundary between the Earth's crust and the mantle."
According to Starbound, it's a problem solvable with enough combat drugs to turn you into the Incredible Hulk.

I'm yet to finalise any colour schemes for the new guys yet, though the Blue Shas'O might be a keeper. Necrons are a nightmare to colour, I feel.

Pic of fighting, straight from the front at the Cadian Gate!
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
Create a text file. Paste this in it.
Name that text file autoexec.lua, and save it to C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War\ or wherever you have DoW installed to.
Shift+Tab ingame toggles the ui on and off.
Code: Select all
screenmode = 0
function toggle_screenmode()
if screenmode == 0 then
taskbar_hide()
message_hide()
screenmode = 1
else
taskbar_show()
message_show()
screenmode = 0
end
end
bind("shift+tab", "toggle_screenmode()")
Shift+Tab ingame toggles the ui on and off.
I have an even better one that removes everything, including stuff like cover icons, build progress indicators, etc:
But you can only do it in replays, and you have to add "-dev" to your Dark Crusade shortcut. (I have a separate shortcut for taking screenshots)
Also add fullres_teamcolor=1 to your local.ini for higher-res textures.
EDIT: My color schemes,
Code: Select all
screenmode = 0
function toggle_screenmode()
if screenmode == 0 then
taskbar_hide()
message_hide()
toggle_extras()
screenmode = 1
else
taskbar_show()
message_show()
toggle_extras()
screenmode = 0
end
end
function toggle_extras()
ingame_stats_mouseover_toggle()
ingame_stats_toggle()
ingame_select_ui_toggle()
end
bind("NumpadPlus", "toggle_screenmode()")
bind("NumpadMinus", "toggle_extras()")
Also add fullres_teamcolor=1 to your local.ini for higher-res textures.
EDIT: My color schemes,
What's her bust size!?
It's over NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAND!!!!!!!!!

some new pics
"By the Emperor, not THEM !" (check the banners)
my Daemon Prince defeating a IG attack
Abaddon should focus on better troops rather then missile turret spam and
he might win sometimes
The Word Bearers troops helping the Black Legion desided to use the ancient "lets get hell out of here" tactic the when I attacked the Black Legion base
A Harlequin finnishing of the chaos cultist(s)
The Harlequin's Kiss can be dangeous if used in the wrong time (there's 2 cultist squads and 1 (my) guardian squad this this pic)
the aftermath
they do not seem to theach cultists to stay away from melee when fighting melee specialists

Considering I had so many versions of the IG using the same banners and badges, I've decided to specialise them.
Here's the 32nd Jaguars, the artic guys
There's the 56th Interstellar Raptors for the Forests, the 72nd Wraiths of Sajuuk for Urban combat and the 225th Nothing-In-Particulars for Desert Ops
For the Space Marines, however, it's business as usual.
I have no particular Chaos Themes Appropriately, any combination of banner and badge is used.
---We now resume random pictures.---
A HW squad covers the advance
The Grey Knights are on edge for a valid reason, apparently.
The First Company likes to protect it's investment
The Enemies of Man cannot stand before us!
The Royal Marines disapprove of enemy tanks
And Shas'O
Heresy will not go unpunished.
Finally, more Grey Knight Whoring.

Here's some from Dark Crusade, I'm using Hangar-8's brilliant texture replacements/fixes for the Marines - you can especially see them on the Dreadnaught.
The Guard scheme is Hangar-8's "1st Albion Mechanised" which I really liked, the other schemes for the Necrons, Tau and Marines are all ones I've created based on the Guard schemes "style".

There's a little hatch on the roof used for aerial evac.HSRTG wrote:How'd you get a guardsmen on top of the factory? Without having him fly via Defiler Smashery.
Edit:
In an attempt to avenge the defeated 76th Wraiths, the Royal Marines deployed to obliterate the Orks. Sadly, after a night at the pub, things didn't go quite to plan. Also, I got bored and went kinda nuts in Paintshop. Any thoughts on preferred style?
While 'putting the boot in' is officially banned as 'not cricket', shortly after this pic was taken, Brother Amiatias thought of something much worse.
Brother Librarian Sejanus is hypnotised by the Land Raider's Most Holy Fuel Cap.
Which is good, as it means he doesn't see the graffiti.
Justicar Uaskan and Venerable Brother Gaettan take a breather
You know, purging is tough work.
Which left Venerable Brother Everell to fight off the entire base alone
They won't be missed.

From recent battle against 3 Chaos AI opponent (Alfa Legion, Black Legion and Death Guard) with me as Space Marines (Blood Ravens)
To redeem their actions at Kronus the Blood Ravens chapter was told to hold a mountain pass on a planet somewhere in the imperium so that the main imperial force wouldn't the hit on their flank by cultists of Chaos.
of Course in typical Space Marine style they didn't settle for that.
but took the whole pass in His glorious name.

Roboute's Ranger's and a detachement of Grey Knights fighting a Daemon Prince of the Word Bearers!

Started playing as Tau a little more recently.
Thought I trod in something...
Analysis of the alien battlesuits revealed that they are an advance force for a highly advanced empire.
They call themselves the Taiidan
Taiidan Kroot scare me
1.5x capture rate, fools!
Award yourself a cookie if you get that one.
