"The Last Bastion" part 2 ~ Now Online!
Yes, finally, The Last Bastion part 2 is out! Yaay! (throws popcorn)
Fuck, am I going to take a break!
In Part 2, the USS Riemann and the USS Heritage are put under the command of Captain Robert Anderson of the USS Guardian to investigate the disappearance of the USS Compliance in the Serova Rift.
I mapped out the script over the weekend, and it looks like this thing will be in at least 7 parts! Possibly more, if I get too bogged down in the real world!

My thoughts as I was watching - sorry if they're a bit disjointed:
Is baldie supposed to be a Deltan?
Is Reimann a nod to anything?
...'yo mama' jokes
what the hell is that robot?
Is it just me, or does Anderson look and sound like a low-budget Jack Sparrow who's let himself go a bit?
...no, strike that, he is a low-budget Sparrow.
Very nice.

It probably is, but I haven't asked Phil about it!Is Reimann a nod to anything?
Hehehe!!...'yo mama' jokes
Well that's Captain Anderson's Number One! You see, since the Federation can't seem to make Data-like androids, that's the best they can do!what the hell is that robot?
Right! Check out Andiana on Youtube:Is it just me, or does Anderson look and sound like a low-budget Jack Sparrow who's let himself go a bit?

Thanks!Very nice.
I like it! Nice work -- I really like your portrayal of Captain Anderson's entry.
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.
F. Douglass
Anderson is being built up quite nicely.

That was pretty cool, bit jerky at times, but that's understandable. The uniforms are a bit weird, is it meant to be set after another perennial uniform change> I like the robot, but the UFP generally aren't smart enough to build that kind of robot, though they have the technology. Maybe the XO is another one-shot android built by a hermit.

Some of the emoting seemed a bit exaggerated, at least to me. Or was that due to the limitations of the animation software you were using (BTW, which app was that? I'm interested in toying around with a few ideas of my own).

Oil an emergency?! It's about time, Brigadier, that the leaders of this planet of yours realised that to remain dependent upon a mineral slime simply doesn't make sense.

They're from "The Movies". The best you can do is work with their spastic attacks as they talk!Patrick Degan wrote:Some of the emoting seemed a bit exaggerated, at least to me. Some of the voices are a bit low volume. I can't always make out what everyone is saying. Would it be possible to up the volume or better yet, add sub-titles? There might be a few deaf fans out there who want to understand the hilarity too you know.

He's on SDN, too, unless that's a different l33tboi.
Yup, that's him. Fuckface seems to want to get my thread there closed by being an asshole.Bounty wrote:He's on SDN, too, unless that's a different l33tboi.
You could have just ask me.Lord Poe wrote:BTW, anyone know if the idiot from spacebattles known as "l33telboi" is a Scooter cock-goblin?
And no, i don't even know RSA, except from what i've heard of him on various sites. I wasn't even around when the whole RSA stuff was happening.

Then maybe you'll stop spamming the sb thread with your bullshit, asshole. This movie isn't made for the sole purpose of "bashing someone I don't quite like". I already did that with regards to Scooter in this movie.l33telboi wrote:And no, i don't even know RSA, except from what i've heard of him on various sites. But if I can yet again poke fun at the most ridiculous donkey fucker to ever grace the SW vs ST arguments in a SW vs ST movie, then that's icing on the cake.
Spamming? Like i already told you on SB, i posted what i thought about your animation. I don't see how it's considered spamming since you posted the damn thing asking for opinions.Lord Poe wrote:Then maybe you'll stop spamming the sb thread with your bullshit, asshole. You don't like my opinion, fine. It's your right. No need to start jumping around boards complaning about it.
