Free Electricity

Carl Sagan once said that people who are ignorant of science will always be at the mercy of those who aren't. The man was very wise indeed.
The most basic assumption about the world is that it does not contradict itself.

That's hilarious! I love the way they don't even give you the slightest hint as to how this impossible technology is supposed to work, unless you give them your credit card number.

Actually, I tend to think that those who are ignorant of science will always been at the mercy of those who ... are ignorant of science. Similarly, those who aren't ignorant of science will always be at the mercy of those who are, since those who are run for political office.

LOL I love the way they promote impossible tech then turn around and claim they'd worked hard for it and that unknown forces are trying to suppress them.

If free electricity had been invented, we'd see it on Times, CNN, USNews, etc, not some weird website.

However, as a rule, there will ALWAYS be some people who will fall for these kinds of things.

Speaking of scientific ignorance, I got to watch Bill Nye the science guy field a couple of great questions from a reporter yesterday regarding the Realien clones.

The reporter asked him if this was a special breakthrough due to it being harder to clone humans than mammals. Bill laughed it off with, "Some of my best friends are mammals," but said reporter persisted with, "But primates are more complex than mammals, aren't they?"

What fun to see a public science educator reduced to a state between laughter and tears.

A salamander has 2000 pairs (?) of chromosomes while a human being has 23. Going by this figure, a salamander is more complex than a human.

Now then, did that interview hint that the reporter was stupid or that Bill Nye was stupid? I've never watched Bill Nye so I don't know whether he's genuine or not.

Definitely the reporter. Nye just didn't take the question seriously the first time; I got the impression he thought it was a joke.

Yet most people spend over $1000 per year on electricity.
That sounds kinda high for just electricity.
13. Q. I live in a rural area where there are no power lines. Can I still participate?
A. Yes. We have the ability to send electricity through the air without using any wires. We demonstrated this in our 7/15/2000 technology show. In cases like this, we would put a generator on your site and still get your excess power back to the grid or other neighbor to sell the excess.
Uh, Id like to see this.

Last time I saw Nye was on BattleBots..What's he doing now that has him answering questions from reporters?

There will never be a resolution in the evolution vs creationism debate because neither side can conclusively prove that they are right. The creationists can't prove that they're right becuase they're not, and the evolutionists can't prove that they're right because the creationists are too damn stupid to listen.

Honestly, I don't know. It was just something I caught while channel-surfing.

There might be something at his website: http://www.nyelabs.com. I couldn't tell, since it uses a lot of flash and my connection isn't very fast at the moment.
