You were supposed to be smart enough not to open it. You're supposed to be a slave, Rob, a slave! Now I have to waste energy on healing you. Of course this just accelerates your path to ghoulage, but naturally you'll be punished for it anyway - Basic paranoia is important!

That is SA-X, from Metroid Fusion. She/it is an X parasite mimicking a bounty hunter named Samus Aran (who you play as) as she was at her strongest. Very nasty. Killed me in two shots first time I encountered her.

EDIT: And here are some pics of Samus :D

Cheers for the info.

Fusion is a sidescroller. So, unless you're just trying to confuse me, you're thinking of Metroid Prime.

Yeah, my investigation of Fusion lead to a link about Prime which lead to thinking about the FPS approach to Metroid, I didn't clarify that in my reply.

So yes, I was talking about Metroid Prime there. :P

You can find a demo of Prime at certain stores. It usually has a five or so minute timer on it, but that's plenty of time to look around and get the feel of it. I highly recommend finding a copy and trying it out.

Though I must warn you, the controls are a bit different from most first person games. There's no 'free use' strafe buttons like in Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. You can strafe, but only at the expense of backwards/forwards motion and turning by holding down L, or you can lock onto your target by IIRC tapping L, which allows you to move back and forth as well as side to side, but you cannot turn untill you break the lock. Still a good game, just takes a while to adapt to the controls if you are used to the normal FPS control style.

Well if I'm buying th console I'll buy the full game with it (if i don't like it, it's only £30), though I'm not sure it's out here in the UK yet.

I tend to avoid FPS's on consoles, especially after the clusterfuck that is Halo on the Xbox  , I'll wait for that to come out on PC. As to nointendo though, I liked and could play GoldenEye quite well so if they haven't messed around too much I don't forsee too many problems. Though I still prefer my FPS on a PC where I have a mouse and Keyboard.

You know my investiagtion into Fusion led to the first ever working reactor with net positive energy output. Then secret shadow governmnt agents destroyed the experiment and took my beautiful partner hostage forcing me to get THEIR reactor working so they wouldn't kill her. Fortunately I was able to save the girl, sabotage their project, and send every major research institution the information I had all without killing anyone...except for the goons sent to kill me.

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

It's a tough life being Keanu Reeves, inventing Cold Fusion one minute, and leading a revolution against the machines the next. I had no idea you had time to serve in the Marines with your hectic schedule. :D

I saw on the Shelves of Blockbuster called Cold Fusion, but if I remember correctly it was called Chain Reaction in the Cinema. Weird. :?

That’s a bit trippy. Movie titles get changed all the time for foreign release (Léon was called The Professional in the US) but I’ve never heard of changing a title just for video/DVD.

well I just searched Blockbusters UK site and they have it as Chain Reaction, yet the Rental box Sandra had the DVD in said Cold Fusion (you can tell how much I cared about the film that I didn't notice the TitleScreen had a different name to the rental box  ). I only remember the name because i picked up the box and looked at the title to remember what film to never ever rent in the future. Good job you pointed out the error otherwise I might have picked up the film myself  .
