Rin's translation seems to say that the theater showed a clip from Shortbus. Unless that movie starts off with that sex scene, it means that they started partway through the film. Mixing up the films is one thing, but since it seems to of started partway though Shortbus, I'm wondering if it was deliberate.

IMDB entry for Shortbus. This might not be the film mentioned in the article, but it seems to fit if you read the faq on its entry.
