Sorry if this has been posted before, but I need an avatar. Could someone tell me how i can get one?

Find a picture on the internet that you like. After that, use a graphic editing program to resize and edit it. Make sure you resize it to 80x80 pixels and make it under 6kb.

Course, you have to first know how to do all this. Otherwise, post the image of the pic you'd like to have as an avatar on this board and one of us will edit it for you.

no. I'm done shrinking my pic down to 80 by 80, but I'm trying to find how to put it on my profile. I've used comps for many years now. I'm just new to forums, that's all.

1. If you already have it shrunk to 80x80 pixels, and its under 6kb, then you can just go to your profile menu on this board and upload it.

2. If that pic you posted is all you have at the moment, then you'll have to specify whether you want the whole pic as an AV or only want a small portion.

Check the size of the image, it is most likely over the 6 Kb limit. When I shrank an image I wanted to use so it would fit, the Kb size nearly tripled, if not quadrupled.

It's a .tif file. I shrank it on microsoft image composer and it's below 80 by 80 and under 6 kb.

You may have to change the file typw to JPG. In your Profile page, at the bottom, it gives you the option to load your avatar from your PC. Simply copy and paste the filepath in the field provided and hit Submit. Voila, one avatar.

Though I'm hoping your only using the bit with the soldier in it otherwise it going to look very skewed and busy.

Just use whatever program you open the picture in and do a save as. Are you sure you're sixteen and not about eight?

if you got photoshop or photomax those could save as jpg files e-mail it to me if you can't save it as a jpg file. PM me if you need me to do that for you.

In Paint, use Save As give it a relevant name, use the Jpg file type and save it to whatever folder you put your pictures in. Then open that folder and copy the filepath for the picture (and if you don't know how to do that, you've not used a PC before).

weird, mine used to not be able to, then for no reason auired the ability. Mind you he can do the same with whatever Image programme he's using, so as long as he isn't a troll or phenomenally stupid he should get the gist.
