Aww, pity the poor 70's guys.
No, wait, don't.

But at lest polish the Neo-Centurions, damnit.

This one was quite good, too

According to Starbound, it's a problem solvable with enough combat drugs to turn you into the Incredible Hulk.

The original did two things right. The original Battlestar design looks downright wicked, and the original Viper design was so good that the new BSG had to more or less replicate it.

The original was also...original. It did that right too, but the new one couldn't replicate that.

You mean that campy piece of shit stupid story line with casino planets and fires that explode planets? Yes, hard to "beat" that.

It must be, if they have to resort to riding on the laurels of something that came before instead of having the balls to make an original show.

I prefer the Galactica (and Pegasus, and Valkyrie) in nBSG, personally. First of all, because it's bigger, and bigger is always better, and second because I like it's weapons. I used to hate the idea of bullets, big fuck-off shells, missiles, and nuclear bombs as the weapons of war in nBSG, but it really grew on me after a few episodes- especially when they went to the trouble of showing the ammo plant making new rounds.

(haven't seen the video yet- will when I get home)

The original Colonial Battlestar design was a classic.
And oBSG's initial stories were perfectly fine and non-campy.

So in conclusion: Everybody shut up. BSG rules no matter what version it is!

That video was awesome (and personally I find oBSG unwatchable).

It should be,

"Now Starbuck's a bulldyke so slash fans can have their Apollo/Starbuck hump fest without the guilt..."

But yeah, it doesn't rhyme.

Seriously Ire, fuck off. I didn't see a "positive comments only" stipulation for this thread.

It's a legitimate question. This is at least the second nBSG thread in the last week where you've jumped in with basically content-free "Hurf hurf hurf nBSG sux!" posts, and as far as I can tell your criticisms boil down to the same thing the fanboys were pissing and moaning about in 2003.

I've answered the legitimate question. It hasn't changed. An old show I happened to like was shit on and called "re-imagined". That's it. I just find it laughable that some people around here act like I'm attacking their girlfriend when I criticize this piece of shit.

My point still stands, I'm not off topic, and I'm not trolling. The new show is a piece of shit. That MY opinion. I hope that's clear now.

So you're saying someone's opinion can't be trollish?

The "original" BSG was so original that they got taken to court for ripping off a sci fi movie you might have heard of.

You should be the person who asks this question whenever someone says "X and such sucks" from now on, Mr. Potter. :P

Well, golly gee, Poe, It's really too bad that you have a problem with the fact that some people like a redone version of a crappy -ghasp-(my opinion,) 70's TV show. The least you could do is to go to the taxing effort of actually watching a couple of new episodes so you can come up with some NEW things you don't like about it. A little originality in your Negative Opinion would be a way of "showing you care."
