People can be really fucking stupid. After all, some thought Stephen Colbert was conservative. I propose that someone who knows a lot of fundies show this video to them and see how many don't catch on. I guarantee you'll be surprised unless you're really cynical.

The fact is, for those who've debated fundies, the video is virtually indistingishable from their arguements.

I have to admit though, until mostly through the video, I actually though it was a 'serious' religion arguement because it sounds just like one.

I was halfway through it before something about it screamed parody. Seriously, its getting to the stage where its becoming difficult to distinguish between parody and the real claims of fundies, because they are so goddamn stupid.

OK, I showed the video to 12 different fundies, and 2 of them actually caught on near the end, around the 14th century part. The other 10 thought it was a great video, and five of them actually said to me, "See? Like the video said, you're deluded. What do you have to say now?" Then I told them it was a parody, and that I knew the guy who made it, (so I lied a bit. How else was I going to make them believe me?) That shut them up very quickly.

Truly, though, I'm surprised that even 2 managed to get it.

The repetion of the circular God-Bible-God-Bible diagram was intentional as to demonstrate a circular argument so I'm pretty sure it was a parody.

Plus the comments about what science was able to do while not accepting the truth of the Bible also intentionally undermined their points.
