I undid the turn, but either the pbw site just went down, or, (far more likely) my laptop's being bitchy again. Bleh, if it processes without me, just let it go.

Site went down.

No, it won't process without you... you can reply to the turn reminder/turn ready e-mail if you get it with your turn as an attachment, it tells you how, and it'll put it in for you when it runs.

Good try hotwiring it Tobor, but if it's the division by zero it won't work until Trogdor uploads :P.

PBW back up.

The turn's processed. Sorry it took so long. I tried to email my new turn in while the site was down but apparently it didn't work.

You know, not caring about what happens makes turns soooo much easier. Hopefully Neph will be up for taking over soon.

Heh. Welcome to my world. I spend about 5 minutes per day on the B5 game, tops. :)

Was there a rollback, because turns 184 and 185 are identical to me?

As far as I can tell no rollback.

I had the same idea when I missed EA's and CS's turn this turn, the news being the same. But Tobor captured 4 of my troop transports and there's a hundred boarding ships where they weren't before so it's definitely a new turn. Apparently the old news gets carried over to the new turn, if you miss the last turn.

You can check on PBW for who didn't upload, whether Tuxedo rolled back the turn, whether he replaced it, etc., it's all logged and if you pull up the history you can see what transpired last turn and so on.

According to PBW you didn't...

...for me sometimes I do my turn, save it and forget to end turn, or forget to upload it. If you uploaded it through e-mail Trogdor was saying it wasn't working for some reason, and sometimes PBW goes down. I've had a couple times when it's gone down just a minute before I uploaded, imagine it going down as you're uploading.

Hey Brian, since Neph doesn't want to take over the Vorlons, how about you do it? You're running everything else and it's not like I'm submitting turns, you might as well do it properly.

Ordinarily I'd say yes, but I'm having as much trouble keeping the Earth Alliance and Corporate Sector straight already. Three is too much. I only do Brad's turn when he hasn't uploaded, five minutes before it's due. Or in this case, four minutes after it was due, and PBW didn't run the turn at exactly 12:16 but waited for 12:36 for some reason :P.

If you want to quit you could just quit, you don't need someone to replace you. We could find somebody.

Well, that wasn't happening about 45 minutes ago. :?

Edit: And I will not retreat in the face of the gods of the interweb's bitchiness! The Centauri and Narn under the Dilgar oppresion must be liberated, damn it! :P

Happy New Year peeps.

Turn execution fucked. And I have a suspicion why, and it might finish the entire game, but we'll see.

Set to ALPU, as I've moved and will be without internet access for a few days.

Liar. You're too busy fucking and drinking aren't you.

No problem. The turn's borked, so it looks like it needs manual processing anyway.

Still no net access. Getting set up over the New Years' weekend was obviously not going to happen, and apparently the guy in the room next to me is getting internet at the earliest possible convenience, so it wouldn't make sense for me to do it separately. Anyway, I haven't seen him since last week, so I don't know when he'll have it set up.

So this is how it ends eh heh heh. Good riddance, was getting too annoying.

If and when you do get Internet, when you manually execute, I have a feeling there's a crippling error. Last time I tried simming 2000 ships against 2000, the game crashed. This turn there's a 1300 versus 1 battle I think, and that might be the reason why it fucked. If that's the reason might as well ditch the whole fucking thing.

Well, let's not declare it dead before its time. I should have net access within the next few days (or at the least I can borrow somebody's USB key and ferry the turns from the library computer to mine and back), so we'll know then.

Well that will happen when you do something completely lame like commandeer a faction then completely reverse it's direction and devote it's resources to yours and your allies goals.

Seriously Brian, using EA as essentially the power base for the Shadows is all kinds of pathetic. They were the shield that kept you alive most of the game, and they were allies of the Minbari and Vorlons. Your actions didn't have a shred of RP justification to them, just bullshit RP 'explanations' that ignored any historical or actual intent of he faction. All you did was take a major ally away from your 'enemies' and give it to you allies. Losing EA was something that might have made it interesting, but the conversion to the other side, especially shielded by any actual RP concern is too much.

All in all, I'll consider my lesson learned.
