I think a better topic would be, Martok versus Vader. Martok's got some warrior balls on him! Martok kicks ass.

Vader would utterly crush Gowron or any other Klingon.

What difference would it make? The only responses to a thread like this have to be facetious, because no one could possibly take it seriously.

I say Gowron tries his most deadlty attack, which is the patented Bulging-Eye Stare (TM). Unfortunately, Vader has Force-Choke(TM), and Force-Choke(TM) beats Bulging-Eye Stare(TM).

Lord Wong has posted on one of my threads I now feel vindicated. Have you looked at Star Wars Junkyard Wars Yet? or Star Wars Robot Wars 2.0?

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

"Darth Vader Dark Lord Of The Sith vs Gowron Head of the Klingon High Council"

Hmmm... let's see. I'd say it would go something like this.

GOWRON: "I'll rip out your heart and devour it before your eyes, you Imperial p'tak!"
VADER: "Your overconfidence is your undoing, klingon. If you do not surrender to me, then you will fall like all before you."
GOWRON: "For that, I will kill you slowly!"
*GOWRON rushes at VADER with his bath'leth raised, and gets a quick primer on the workings of a lightsaber*
VADER: "Resisting the Empire is useless. Give in now, and I will lead you to battles beyond your comprehension."
COUNCIL (incredibly excited by this cozy future): "Blood and honor!"
Björn Paulsen

LOL :)

As far as I know, Vader could take any being in Trek short of Q
or the Douwd. He might even be able to take Trelane, though my
memory of "Squire of Gothos" and all of TOS is pretty bad.

To deviate from the subject, I really liked Gowron. He was cool.
After the Klingon Civil War, when that whiny Duras' son kid came to the Council chambers, trembling, and cried, "The Duras family will one day rule the Empire!", Gowron just grinned all toothily at him and said, "Perhaps...
but not today." Ow.

I really hated the way DS9 portrayed the character, though it was good
to see him/Robert O'Reilly get some work. DS9 is actually my second-favorite Trek, but they really seemed to drop the ball on some characters...Dukat, for instance. For the longest time, he was somewhat
three-dimensional. It was hard to peg him as all good or bad. After
"Sacrifice of Angels," he was totally insane and evil. The writers seemed
to get just lazy with him, as they did with Gowron. There's no excuse
for that, as far as I'm concerned. Characters can make even the wildest,
silliest stories fly (like with Lexx).
