I second that notion :P

Carrack cruisers are probably the most disgusting ships all among Star Wars!

The Suncrusher followed closely by the Vhong battleships

The Suncrusher. KJA is an idiot. Vong as well. I also hate the Uglies, whoever came up with that.... that's just wrong technology-wise. SW is not 40K. There are no warp powers to hold this shit together and make it fly and shoot.

And yeah, Darksaber... although that's not a ship... but I hate it.

And is the size of a fighter, built by a group of isolated scientists using "Quantum armour" that never appears again (Barring something with a similiar name but magnitudes less wank in the Vhong killer droids).
And it blew up stars in a way that created a solar system destroying Supernova don't forget (With a single "resonance torpedo") :x

The quantum-armor re-appeared in the JYK-novels, IIRC.

And what I hate the most aside from Vong-ships, Suncrushers and Nebulon-Bs? Strikes, Lancers, the entire NewClass-ships as shown in CTD and Hapan Battledragons.

Suncrusher, Vong, and the goddamn Centerpoint Station. If you're going to invent a superweapon use it or give a good reason for it not being used.

Also, K-Wings. I actually like them, but where the hell did they go after that little incident in Koornacht?

Centerpoint station was not a superweapon.

It could wipe fleets out from the other side of the galaxy, I'd say that was pretty much a super weapon.

Why the Carrack hate, I love those things.

My hate is the entire Mon Cal Fleet, followed by E-wings and the Venerator.

But it was never intended by its creators to be used as a superweapon.

About the K-Wing, I recently saw a documentation about the destruction of the battleship Bismark in WW2 again. The British Swordfish-fighters/bombers with their single, large torpedo would be strikingly similar to K-Wings with their large payload ("rotten egg") and their need for support from other fighters. They might have been good against medium vessels like Victories and ImpStars (at least as far as the EU-GFFA is concerned), but after the BFC the NR started to invest into battleships of its own.

What do you have against the Nebulon-B? :?

Anyway, what I hate is the Bulwark Battlecruiser from Rebellion. I have no problem with an Alliance/New Republic equivalent to the SSD, but that thing was just...fugly.

EDIT: Well, it seems it got a new look for Empires at War that makes it look more reasonable (at least from that one perspective I saw). So maybe there's hope for it yet.

I don't think much of the Mon Cal warships either, but I do not mind the Venator-class Star Destroyer and it's a decent enough predecessor to the more infamous Imperial-class Star Destroyer and it’s quite likely the Venator series would still be a common Imperial warship as late as A New Hope (although it would not be a frontline capital ship like the ISD).

I like Mon Cal cruisers for their smooth sleek curves.

What I don't like is that Bulwark cruiser because it looks like some giant gold fish.

Add the Vong fleet, and the other silly ships etc.

Mon Remonda in particular was a nice looking design. And I say that as a KDY fan.

I'll second the Ithullan Ore Hauler, and submit all those goofy Mandalorian ships in TotJ. Although Dustin Weaver's reimagining of them in the new series makes them at least a bit more palatable.

Seriously I don't get the Carrack hate either. Those are nice, realistice, utilitarian ships, not pretty, but not butt ugly snotsticals like the Vongships. Organic does Not mean it hasta look like flying guts.

I forgot to mention: I loathe the ARC-170 fighter. The Z-95 was supposed to be the predecessor to the X-Wing.

edit: and another I forgot, ANY of the ships from those new books (with the weird hive insect things)

How exactly is something that can destroy pretty much anything anywhere in the galaxy not a superweapon?

The Z-95 was supposed to be the predecessor to the X-Wing.
It still is. ARC-170s are just manufactured by the same company.

Centerpoint wasn't built as a superweapon, is the point. It's designed as a giant hyperspace tractor.

It can be used as a superweapon, certainly, but it's notoriously difficult to getting it working in that capacity.[/quote]

Are you fucking kidding? The ARC-170 is awesome! We should have seen a fucking dogfight with those fuckers busting up shit; instead, we got buzz droids.

The ARC-170 wasn't a space superiority fighter like the X-wing. It's a robust recon fighter that focused on survivability rather than speed
