This has already been posted over in G&C by petesampras, but it includes some new tidbits of information that I thought might warrant reposting here. Nothing Earth-shattering, but a few interesting bits nonetheless.
(This is all in relation to the first Death Star, in case you don't bother to go to the site. )
Capship Drydock Capabilities
System PopulationsDeep Harbor
An enormous spacedock built into the side of the station's biggest trench, the deep hanger is big enough to hold a star destroyer.
Power GenerationThe Resonance Torpedo Launcher fires plasma warheads that destabilize a star's core, triggering a supernova explosion that will destroy everything in its path. It is the only superweapon capable of destroying an entire star system and annihilating trillions of sentients in one fell blow.
Hull SizeHypermatter Reactor 5
This gargantuan Hypermatter Reactor creates a fusion reaction of incredible proportions, more powerful than a thousand suns.
120km Diameter Hull
This 120km Diameter Hull, as large as a small moon, is the original superstructure planned for the project.
As noted by Rogue Follower over at TFN, this could provide a handy retcon, however unintentional, for the erroneous 120 km size.160km Diameter Hull
This 160km Diameter Hull represents a "mark II" revision of the original planned hull superstructure.
Apparently Palpatine went with the recommendation of "some experts" when constructing the second Death Star.500km Diameter Hull
While some experts have claimed a hull as large as 900km is required, a titanic 500km Hull should be more than sufficient for even the mightiest Death Star.
Project Name
BudgetThe project is officially known as the Expeditionary Battle Planetoid Development Initiative, but those in the Ministry of Propaganda have taken to calling it the "Death Star".
You're given a trillion credit budget (hilariously, you can continue to spend until you're half a billion in debt), but this is most likely merely a gameplay consideration. See below.
There may be more I've missed.
Here's what Leland Chee has to say about the canonicity of the site [link]:
Websites go to Licensing for approval just as any other part of a game or book. Stats are balanced for "gameplay" purposes and obviously certain things like the ferris wheel and roller coaster (nods to Thrillville) and the spa (nod to Lego Star Wars II) are thrown in for fun. Also, keep in mind that this is a sandbox feature that allows for non-continuity possibilites like the early development of galaxy guns and world devastators. But yes, anything on there that is new is potential continuity that goes into the Holocron.
