Darth Vader vs X-parasite (metroid fusion)

Post by Tatterdemalion »

The war is over, the Empire won the battle over Endor, and Palpatine rules unopposed. However, this peace is not to last...

Six months later, afer the routine obliteration of an impudent planet a dimensional rift opens up in the middle of Darth Vaders shuttle, opening a one way wormhole for just long enough for an X-parasite and a dead Metroid to escape the wreckage of the detached space-lab. The X-parasite promptly infests our heroic Sith Lord.

The infestation is so bad that parts of Vaders suit, and his light-sabre had to be removed, these parts where taken to the Death Star for further study. (You can see what's coming can't you?) Mean while on board the executor Vader is injected with a hastily prepared metroid vaccine (don't ask me how they knew it would cure him, they just did.) rendering him immune to the effect of the X-parasite. This uses up nearly all of the metroids cells, it will take time to clone new ones.
Contact with the Death Star is then suddenly lost and the Emporer, in the face of all common sense, tells Darth Vader that, since he's the only one immune to the effects of the X, he should board the DS and find out what's going on. Hence we find Darth Vader boarding the Death Star in a lone TIE fighter equipped with a very (un)helpful AI. Yeah I know it's flimsy at best, but I needed an excuse.

THE PLAYERS:

DARTH VADER: Armed with a lightsabre, his wits, and a vast array of force skills

THE X-PARASITES: Armed with all the genetic data they retrieved from Metroid Prime, and whatever they can infest on the deathstar (Oh and there's a DARTH-X running around too if you read the story above.)

Remember, the X can clone inorganic stuff to (Samus's suit, Nightmare etc.) and retains it's ability to analyze computer data.

Let the games begin!

Vader loses, badly. Samus couldn't even destroy those things, the only reason she was able to survive five minutes on that station was because she was now part X-paracite and, probly because of a side effect from the metroid vacine and/or her suit, or what remained of it, could absorb the X-paracites in their normal form.

Hence why I took pains to mention that Vader had been injected with the Metroid vaccine (This was what allowed Samus to absorb the X without being infested.)
