IIS or Apache

Post by Uraniun235 »

Windows Server 2003 box needs to act as a webserver, among other things.

I've already been a good little masochist and fucked around with Apache on Windows before so I know what that's like, so can I use IIS 6 with reasonable confidence or am I going to be butt-reamed by exploits?

I second IIS6 on Windows 2003 . Microsoft has done a lot to patch security in Server 2003 (I still prefer Apache/Linux, but for other reasons). W/o the use of vim, configuring things by text files is annoying :P

At the risk of seeming like a "mee too," IIS6 and Windows 2003 are very good products. Just do your homework before deployment and you'll be fine.
