PDAs

Post by Dominus Atheos »

My mother wants a PDA for her birthday, and I need recommendations. She wants one with an alarm, and text writer. Wireless would also be nice. It has to be under $100. Does anyone have any experience with PDAs that they would like to recommend?

The Palm Z22 should suffice. You probably aren't going to get a wireless PDA for that price.

Might be easier to get a non-wireless PDA with a CF or SDIO slot, then get a wireless card as an add-on later. You're not going to find many low-end PDAs with wireless built-in.

Newton 2100 should be sub-$100, and there's plenty of wireless PCMCIA slots.

Newton? I thought Apple got out long ago.

I decided to go with the Palm Z22. (I couldn't even find any Newton 2100s) Do you think I'd be okay with the refurbished one or should I go brand new? What accessories do you think I'd need?
