That's how it works in Mysteries of the Sith. You fire destruction from long distance, and it vanishes, having no effect.

This interpretation of the force manifestation powers (lightning and destruction) are actually force energy and not literal fire or lightning that would still presumably have an effect even if the "spiritual" effect was negated somehow.
fun/fantasy movies existed before the overrated Star Wars came out. What made it seem 'less dark' was the sheer goofy aspect of it: two robots modeled on Laurel & Hardy, and a smartass outlaw with bigfoot co-pilot and their hotrod pizza-shaped ship, and they were sucked aboard a giant Disco Ball. -adw1
Someone asked me yesterday if Dracula met Saruman and there was a fight, who would win. I just looked at this man. What an idiotic thing to say. I mean really, it was half-witted. - Christopher Lee

NTM that was already shown to be the case in Dark Force Rising and I can't seem to find that post by OmegaGuy in this thread.

The Force is a field generated by living organisms.

Fields are made up of frequencies and wavelengths.

Perhaps the Ysalamiri simply radiate Force with a counter-frequency; wavelengths 180 deg. out-of-phase with the surrounding natural Force frequency, thus, the area immediately surrounding the Ysalamiri become Force negated.

I think you're slightly mixed up. What is the frequency of the acceleration field caused by the Earth's gravitational pull, for example?
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

Since the Force binds every living thing, it is possible that the ysalamiri have a way of bypassing the sentient will of opponents, and connecting directly with the force of their opponents, to short-circuit sentient manipulation, or even prelude any manipulation of the force.

The force can't be made to attack itself; instead of a 'null zone' it is more like a negation of separation between generators. The force is to complete to be manipulated or framed by a sentient will, and the disappearance of a perspective of control is interpreted as a 'null' zone.

So how do Vornskr's manage to hunt them?

Vornskrs kill with force lightning? I thought they only use force sensitivity to ferret out prey.

That doesn't work, because ysalamiri canonically blind Force senses as well. Not even precog works, which is why it's so dangerous.

Vornskyrs don't. The Ysalmiri hide effectively using their bubbles, and the Vornskyrs hunt other creatures.
