Shotgun [3D Model]

Post by salm »

I made this shotgun for my current uni project. Any bad mistakes?
It´s got about 1800 Polys and will be used for a Doom 3 Mod.

a stock. Stocks always help with keeping the gun steady. Even if you don't want to slap on a hardwood one, slap a folded up stock on it so you can hint that you can unfold it. How's it load? Magazine or under the slide? If so, you need a port under the slide and to move the ejection port up maybe.

The loading opening is the thing right under the ejection port left of the little white switch.

I assumed he didn't put one on specifically, otherwise I would have said this too. but I agree. even a folded stock can look awesome. just look at the folder on a SPAS 12.

I redid some parts. The handle was thrown out to be replaced by a stock shamelesly stolen from the SPAS 12 and the grip was remodeled. The main body is now slightly differently shaped. I think i like it like this. Thanks to you guys.

I'd angle the handle a wee bit, and perhaps 'unfold' the shoulder stock for one of the pictures to show it works. Aside from that it looks highly excellent to this 3D graphix nub...

I´ll put the holes in the barrel back but they will be textured and bumpmaped instead of modelled.

Your stock need a buttplate. It's a bit difficult to hold it against your shoulder otherwise.

It'll also concentrate force, making recoil very painful indeed.

IMO you should put a couple of aiming points on top of it. It'll be much easier to fire accurately with the stock extended that way.

I second the butt plate and maybe some simple aiming points. My pop's shotguns are rather easy. A small nub up by the barrel and two smaller ones towards the back with a gap between them.
