The rebel evacuation of Hoth goes off without a hitch when the Death Squadron finds itself under attack by an unknown enemy. The evacuation was covered by unknown starships equipped with shields reminiscent of Mon Calamari vessels and turbolasers with a primary armament of long ranged missiles. After drawing off the Imperial Forces the vessels escaped through an unknown FTL drive. Again at Endor these vessels appear and aid the Rebel Fleet in their attack that destroys the Death Star. However despite the best efforts of Vader and Luke the Emperor escapes with the Imperial taskforce.
The unknown vessels that are aiding the Rebellion are a small High Guard covert operations taskforce. A Commonwealth long range slipscout that was in the process of exploring other galaxies for signs of Magog activity accidentally made contact with the Rebellion. After receiving background information from the Rebels the High Guard decided that with speed of hyperspace the Empire could potentially present a possible future risk to the Commonwealth. They dispatch a small taskforce under the command of Dylan Hunt to aid the Rebels in overthrowing the Empire while gearing up the High Guard for further operations.
Hunt's task force was refit with aid from Mon Calamari engineers including the same type of shields as Mon Calamari vessels and sensors. The AP cannons were also replaced with the same number of HTL batteries. The taskforce consists of 2 Siege Perilous Destroyers, 20 Glorious Heritage Cruisers, and 10 High Endurance Research Cruisers. Meanwhile Commonwealth engineers are performing a similar refit on the entire High Guard, which is expected to take 4 to 5 years to complete. In the meantime another 100 Glorious Heritage Cruisers and 20 new Siege Perilous Destroyers will finish refitting to join the taskforce in 6 months. Meanwhile High Guard engineers have been tinkering with dampening the mass of Rebel vessels to increase their acceleration advantage over Imperial vessels.
How long and how well does the Empire manage to counter the High Guard meddling? Can the Empire launch an effective counterattack or will they fall to the Rebellion? If they manage to can they takedown the Commonwealth which now has some of their advantages?

after seeing detecting the enemy
After realizing that the empire has a new band of scum to combat and a new galaxies to add to emppire... The Emperor begins a program to refits star destroyers with Quantum armor ( from the Sun crusher Project) and fit all star destroyer with Sun crusher Nova torpedoes...
He then Upgrade the hyperdrive units in all star destroyers with those develop for the Galaxy guns missiles ( increasing the speed by a factor of a thousand ( able to cross a galaxy in hours not days) allowing the newily refitted star destroyer to easily reach nearby galaxies in weeks....
and the the Empire create New imperial probe droids with the new Hyperspace drive and dispatch them to all the near by Galaxies to gather information on the Common wealth....
when the combine rebel common wealth fleet, find them selve in battle with ships that turbo laser cannot not harm ( they knock down the shields only to see their missile and beams splash harmlessily against the Quantum Armor), they attempt to flee back to common wealth space, only to find a massive invasion fleet tearing thru the Common wealth....
The Neitchezen seeing the superior weapons and tactics of the Empire and line up to be fitted with storm trooper armor and their leaders are given mott ships in the newily acquired terrorities....

realistically it would be easier to build ships from scratch with the new armor than to refit old ones, if it is possible to build it into a star destoyer sized structure, if the emperor has access to those plans, which he didn't use at all during his return. In regards to the Galaxy gun hyperdrive, there is no guarantee it can be scaled up for that large of a ship, that a star destroyer has the power necessary to atain those speeds, or that a human crew can survive under those conditions. Galaxy gun driven probe droids is brilliant, if possibly to expensive for everyday use, and there may be signifigant transmission lag without relay stations. It is also possible that the speeds the Galaxy gun achieved are dependent upon a field generated around the object being propelled from the outside. This would explain the fact that this form of travel was never used without the galaxy gun firing the projectiles.

Funny we never saw the Empire do this rather than get it's butt kicked by the Rebels and then the Vong. Oh maybe because there's the simple fact that it would go bankrupt and collapse like the Soviet Union if the Emperor was stupid enough to attempt it.omegaLancer wrote:After realizing that the empire has a new band of scum to combat and a new galaxies to add to emppire... The Nietzscheans would spit upon the indoctrination the Stormtroopers go through. You must have no idea what Nietzscheans are like; the Nietzscheans joining the Empire it isn't going to happen. They aren't going to subject themselves to any Empire that isn't ruled by Nietzscheans.omegaLancer wrote:he Neitchezen seeing the superior weapons and tactics of the Empire and line up to be fitted with storm trooper armor and their leaders are given mott ships in the newily acquired terrorities....

Umber men and promise of empire
If you notice the Empire was giving them Mott ships, They would get to rule all the lesser races...
As for going broke, if money was a problem, the Emperor would not been able to make 3 death stars ( the prototype and 2 other) 20000 Stardestroyer in 20 years ( replacing all the Victor class and Deanoughts).
Money in the Empire was just a means to get the Tech sector to perform and perform they did, they created the ISD,ISDII the SSD and host of fine warships...
While the Common wealth didnot have a major ungrade of their fleet till the Magog invaded, and the best they could do was add some Reactive armor and cold plamsa armor ( no wonder the forum want them to grab some superior SW technology like Shields and Turbolaser).
Look the Commonwealth when face with a threat like the magog they arranged for a cease fire which angered the neitchzen who then wreck the common wealth, cool move, remind me of the NR, let appease the an enemy , allow them to keep worlds that they took by force. Use the Local population to create more soldiers, the parallels are amazing..
The Emperor pull out no stop against a threat to the Empire, a second death star was buildt in a year after the destruction of the First, no hestiation at all. He Sent a force and a admiral to the unkown sector to secure the galaxy from external threats and if the Rebel were defeated, there would have been no way the Vong could of invade the Empire. Just the threat of the deathstar wiping out their world ships would have force them to find greener pastures. ( humm while the Magog world ship never fear The CW in the lease, it just keep on coming)
As for the Quantum armor ( I would image that since the hull of the ISD are cladded in /Neutronium any way< i figure it would be easier to Convert it).It would mean raising taxes, but the cost would be worth it..
As for the Vong, the Imperial only major action against the Vong resulted in Vong being beaten ( true they were allied with the NR, and had a bunch of Jedi fighter pilots and new republic fleet fighting along side them).. As it stand the vong has mainily gone after the NR ( is it not great to see the presky rebels get what they deserve)
Unlike the CW which fell to their own rebels in three years, and where totally destroy with out a trace, the Empire is still around and it required 25 years of constant battle ( and during that time almost defeat the Rebels on 4 occassion) for the rebel to get a cease fire....And is still larger than the Renew common wealth and has more vessels...
So if the Empire discovered the Rebels teaming with the common wealth, It would break out the technology the Emperor was hoarding, recall Thrawn form the unknown sector, and throw the Empire into over drive. ....

The Nietzscheans aren't going to be interested in ruling anyone with the Empire looking over their shoulder. It's more like they play along and take the ships then screw the Empire by helping the Commonwealth defeat them.omegaLancer wrote:If you notice the Empire was giving them Mott ships, They would get to rule all the lesser races...

Big doesn't mean more expensive. A B-2 Spirit costs 2.1 Billion dollars with a takeoff weight of 336,500 pounds. An Nimitz class carrier costs $160,000,000 and displaces 97,000 tons.
All this implies that the quantum crystalline armor and galaxy gun technology were so resource intensive to to produce that the Empire couldn't afford to do it in anything more than small amounts. In fact perhaps much more so than it cost them in resources to build all three Death Stars.
Otherwise having invincible ships would have helped a lot against the Vong or Rebels.
You do realize the DSX was a product of the buildup after the Magog attacks. The late model Glorious Heritage Cruisers like the Andromeda, which were more combat orientated than previous vessels. We also don't know anything else about the High Guard prior to the Magog attack so we don't even know what they got from the buildup. For all we know nova bombs may have been developed after the Magog attacked.omegaLancer wrote:the best they could do was add some Reactive armor and cold plamsa armor
Yeah the Empire would attempt to fight the Magog and then get stomped thus having their Galaxy destroyed.omegaLancer wrote:Look the Commonwealth when face with a threat like the magog they arranged for a cease fire which angered the neitchzen who then wreck the common wealth, cool move, remind me of the NR, let appease the an enemy , allow them to keep worlds that they took by force. Have you ever that diplomacy is the art of saying nice doggie while looking for a bigger stick? The DSX, late model Glorious Heritage Cruisers, and perhaps the research Harper used to build Rosey were the big sticks the Commonwealth was looking for. The treaty was a ruse by the Commonwealth to buy the time for them to remilitarize to deal with the bulk of the Magog that were still coming.
You do realize the first PSP that hit the Death Star would overload it's shields and punch right through it… More than likely it would only take a few PSPs to destroy it assuming you didn't hit anything volatile on the way through.omegaLancer wrote:Just the threat of the deathstar wiping out their world ships would have force them to find greener pastures.
