SH 4 Specs Released

Post by MKSheppard »

The minimum requirements to run SH4 would be: 2GHz processor (Pentium IV or equivalent AMD Athlon), 1GB of RAM, DirectX 9 video card with Pixel Shader v2.0, Vertex Shader v2.0 with 128MB of RAM, DirectX compatible sound card and around 5.5-6GB of space on your HDD.

The game options will allow you to activate or deactivate different visual aspects that can increase or decrease performance. Of course, in the minimum requirements PC you will run with most options OFF.

A recommended system will have: 3GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, DirectX 9 video card with PS 3.0, VS 3.0 and 256MB of RAM.

Since Shep posted this, I'd say it's 99% likely to be Silent Hunter IV.

And those specs are crazy. I really need a new PC it seems; how much would a system set me back that hit the rec. spec?

I want to know if they've announced a 'the Japanese are not ignorant of naval strategy' campaign. You know, so there's actually 'submarine warfare' instead of 'kill all their shit virtually unopposed'.

Silent Hill 4 is already out, Shep.

The PC port sucks.

Did we play the same game in SH3 where DDs would brutally hunt you down and kill you?

Was this the same SH3 that let me navigate my U-II into various harbours around England avoiding mines on the way in then pull up in the middle of the harbour and continually blast ships coming and going (while I am sitting in just enough water to keep the conning tower covered and the keel off the rocks).
