Multiple recipient Text Messaging System?

Post by xammer99 »

Howdy folks,

Figure this might be a handy place to ask, but I'm looking for a way to be able to send a text message to about 50 people at once for my company. Preferably online, or from a desk top application. I know I can do it via the phone, but I'm looking for something more convient and easy to use than that for sending out notifications of outtages.

I've checked Sprint already and they don't offer such a thing. I've also done some google searching for MMS systems and such and I've found several, but I'm not sure how reliable these folks are.

So if any of you know of or can recommend a system for use, I'd much appreciate it!

Most providers let you email plaintext messages to phones. For example, Verizon uses the vtext.com domain for this. So, to text a Verizon phone with the number 555-345-2345 via email, simply send an email to 5553452345@vtext.com. Repeat for the other numbers as needed. Piece of cake.
