Midichlorian Count

How strong is the correlation between midichlorian count and Jedi power? By the looks of things, it should only be used as a logarithmic scale.
Also, the list would imply that Obi-Wan's full potential is almost as great as Count Dooku's.
Any thoughts?

all midochlorians are just a way to try to give the force a meaning. but the higher the count the better you can percieve the force it seems.

According to the list that you have, Midi-chlorians are not very closely tied with Jedi power. Note how "weak" Mace Windu appears next to some of the other Jedi, but he is one of the most powerful Jedi Masters, and a close friend with Yoda. Also note that both Jacen and Jaina Solo have extremely low counts, compared with some of the others, and that Tionne (who has almost no force talents) has a considerable number (for her). I don't think that that list is very accurate.

I agree with Ossus. The list seems to be very roughly made out. One of my questions would be how you can lose midiclohrions as Darth Vader seems to when he falls in the lava pit (speculation that he falls in the pit as it is) How could you possibly lose midiclohrions? Plus, it seems to me that Obi-Wan Kenobi would be quite low on the midiclohrion count. He is one of the last chosen to be a padawan. He seems to have to prove himself and does well doing it. This in my opinion is why Master Yoda held him in such high esteem.

Where does it say that? Going through Jedi training means that you will become more powerful, but that does not necessarily mean that you have increased your midichlorian count. It means that you have fulfilled more of your potential than you had when you began the training. If the number of midichlorians actually increases during training, we should see a better corelation between midichlorian counts and power than we do. Do you really think that Luke had trained as much as Mace Windu had at the time of both of their deaths? Do you really think that Obi-Wan had trained more than Qui-Gon had? I think it is fairly clear that one of two things is going on.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr. Smi wrote:The chart also assumes that if you go through Jedi training, your count goes up.
1. The list is inaccurate, which is possible.
2. The list is correct, but midichlorian counts are not directly tied to Jedi power. It is possible for Jedi to train themselves to become more powerful, but it is easiest for people with very high counts to access force powers, and it might even be impossible for Jedi with low counts to access some powers.
I really have no way of knowing which of these is accurate, until more information comes up, but I think that either of those could be very valid conclusions.
