Quite simply, the argument is pointless. I mean, both sci-fi series contradict eachother throughout their courses all the time. I mean, star trek is laughable with the original series posting higher waprs then are considered possible in the later series, and Star Wars, with armored military vehicles apparently being made of tin(The infamous Ewoks destooying those death trap AT-ST's, yet starships can have weapons in the millions of gigaton range)
I mean come on!
I'm a fan of sci-fi in general, I love both Star Trek and Star Wars. Both series are great. Tell you the honest truth, I don't know any trek lover who hasn't seen the Star Wars movies and loved them(Except of course the God episodes 1 2 and 3),and all of my friends who like Wars don't really have a problem with Trek(Except of course the God awful TNG movies) Really.,This debate shouldn't continue.
