Err the constitution has the key word "limited" when referring to copyrights. People should be able to do whatever they wish after a set period of time. Besides after a few years corporations don't really make that much money anymore. Fine lets make it 20 years for all copyrights, 20 for regular patents, and 2 for software patents. I would also like to make the government protect minority opinions more. Make representation in the senate based on political alignment. For example 20% of people in the country belong in party A, so they get 20% representation, similar to Israel's political system, with the exception that it's bicameral and the house of reps would be as it is. I would pass a Late Term Abortion ban. You can get 'em the first six months, but abortions after six months of pregnancy to me are morally repugnant and do amount to murder.

I would implement efforts to reform medicare and medicaid, to ensure the program's continued survival. A limited perscription drug package would be included, and citizens would have the option of diverting their social security taxes into either a general SS account or a Personal Security Account. Those making over $80,000 a year would NOT be eligible to receive medicare and medicaid benefits.

Capital Gains taxes would be dramatically reduced or outright eliminated. The government is simply not entitled to tax the profit a stock holder makes from stock sales. Defence budgets would remain steady. SDI research would move forward and accelerated. The nuclear missile force would be reduced by half. Testing would be allowed for newly developed devices, and to ensure that existing devices are functional and working properly. The ability to fight a two front war would be maintained, but greater emphasis would be put on developing fast reaction forces that can be deployed into a combat zone in short notice.
