There's been a lot of speculation about that lately on all the boards. Someone mentioned to me that it would be fun to see Traviss kill Luke, because you know she's going to go apeshit over the criticism.

If Traviss kills Luke, hell have no fury as the Star Wars fandom scorned, one could be certain of that. Even the Talifans will look tame.
Actually, I wouldn't mind if she suffers that fate.

Let me guess, one of the main officers is a general from Kalee or something, right? :V
What?! It gets dumber and dumber.
It would indeed be interesting if Traviss is the one who gets to kill off Luke. Oh, and on a side note, it's mentioned in the SW.com article that her next RC novel is titled True Colors. Quite fitting IMHO.

No no no. It's Traviss that shrinks in fear of the "Talifans", that's the important thing.

REmind me why luke has to be killed. Can anyone name one Jedi other than Yoda that has died of something resembling Natural Causes between Episode III and the NJO? This sounds weird but it would be rather unique for a Jedi not to be fucking killed. There is no decent villain that should be able to take him out at this point and I blame that mostly on the hack writers at this point.
I don't think they'd kill off Luke in the middle of this incredibly long storyline though, my guess is that Mara is the one who bites it.

So Traviss can piss off a very large and potentially vocal part of the Star Wars community, when she starts labeling them Talifans it will hopefully incite others to see what kind of horrible cunt she really is for making blatant lies about them being mysoginistic or whatever BS story she picks for the day, this will encourage them to talk with the rest of us 'Talifans' so that we can present them with evidence that her numbers are completely fabricated, without her retarded bias getting in the way. This will in turn hopefully help us to get Lucas Licensing to remove the bogus 3 million in favor of a more realistic number, sooner than we hoped.

I would love to burn McEwok over a slow fire and rub it in if that ever happens. Luke shall be the martyr that will incite the flames of hatred against the bitch. Then we will proclaim Jihad against Traviss!

Call me crazy, but as much as I hate Kraren Traviss, I don't think her ruining the most important Star Wars Character (aside from perhaps Vader/Anakin) could possibly do it. Her fanbase will still mindlessly support her because Luke's death has no effect on the Mandalorians. Then there is the fact that i'd rather not have Luke get killed off in some cheap manner by some hack on the chance that it might turn readers against said hack. I'd much rather the character get the dignity he deserves, and unfortunately someone competent will not be involved in it.
Wanting KT to be the one to kill off Luke is just stupid. Just fucking stupid.

Slow down Osama, we wouldn't want to give anybody the wrong idea or anything.
Ah fuck. NJOE's got an update on the "synopsis" for Inferno:
Can anyone say "doh" ? Apparently we all jumped the gun a little - according to Sue Rostini at the StarWars.com boards, the blurb that used to appear in this spot was made-up by a fan, not an authorized release. Shame on Amazon.co.uk for that one.

Well, it is January 23 and the official selections for the Darth Who Contest
(remember, fans get the chance to select Jacen's Sith name for its first official apperance in May's Sacrifice) have been announced at the main site. The five nominations picked by the authors and a Lucasfilm/Del Rey staff are:
I had Darth Cyclus: from "cycle", since Jacen can flow-walk and ends up repeating his grandfather's mistakes, and "syklus" the Norwegian form of "cycle". It was worth a shot. :P

Same here; mine was Darth Nexus. As it can mean the center of things or a series of connections, it seemed fitting for as Boba points out in Bloodlines, the Jedi and Sith are ultimately at the heart of these galactic conflicts. And of course, much of what happens with the Second Corellian crisis hinges upon Jacen himself. I don't know; I guess it was the spectre of Generations that worked against me...

Good call!
As for the five, I only get Acheron, the river to Hades. And it seems Caedus might have something to do with Caesar? The man or the title?

The rest I'm not too sure of.
According to NJOE, Caedus is a Latin derivation meaning to slaughter, murder, etc. Judicar refers to the adjudicato, to those that bring, make, and enforce peace. They have no idea waht the hell Taral means.
Concurrent with the Darth Who nominations, Sue Rostini has also released the official back-cover synopsis for Legacy IV: Exile:
In the Star Wars galaxy, evil is on the move as the Galactic Alliance and Jedi order battle forces seen and unseen, from rampant internal treachery to the nightmare of all-out war.
With each victory against the Corellian rebels, Jacen Solo becomes more admired, more powerful, and more certain of achieving galactic peace. But that peace may come with a price. Despite strained relationships caused by opposing sympathies in the war, Han and Leia Solo and Luke and Mara Skywalker remain united by one frightening suspicion: Someone insidious is manipulating this war, and if he or she isn't stopped, all efforts at reconciliation may be for naught. And as sinister visions lead Luke to believe that the source of the evil is none other than Lumiya, Dark Lady of the Sith, the greatest peril revolves around Jacen himself.

Wow, They sure are making sure not to have this be a Copy paste of Anakin's fall and the Prequel trilogy aren't they

I would consider buying the comic book because I actually like Jan Duursema's art. But everything I read about this novel series... fills me with dread.
Just so I get this straight, is there an actual war so far, or has it just been "extended skirmishes"? Because the line in this new blurb seems to indicate that it still hasn't gone that far yet. :S

Extended skirmishes; a full-scale war hasn't erupted yet.
