Well, I don't have a motto or anything like that. No goal I'm working toward.
I just kind of live from day to day. And try to do nothing too evil.
Actually kind of sucks.
That's the thing, it took me a while to figure out that "Don't be an arsehole" just by itself tends to make things kind of boring. I'm trying to gravitate towards "be awesome" which unfortunately is something I haven't quite got the hang of yet.
"everytime a person is born the Earth weighs just a little more."--DMJ on StarTrek.com
"You see now you are using your thinking and that is not a good thing!" DMJay on StarTrek.com
"Watching Sarli argue with Vympel, Stas, Schatten and the others is as bizarre as the idea of the 40-year-old Virgin telling Hugh Hefner that Hef knows nothing about pussy, and that he is the expert."--Elfdart
Many of these are pretty good, and line up with my own philosophies. I don't believe all people are evil, I think individually people want/try to do the right thing, they just may not reason through all the repercussions first. Collectively, people can be easily swayed to evil-- we're most dangerous in herds.
I've never peed in a sink, although there were times I was almost desperate enough.
Mostly, I bear in mind one thing-- grudges, retribution, and/or vengeance usually isn't worth the energy on the type of people they are usually directed towards.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around! If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!! Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!

Kay (Tommy Lee Jones), from Men in Black:
"A person is smart. People are dumb, scared, panicky animals, and you know it."
I don't like being a bastard, but they leave me no choice.
