A building at work burned down

Post by Shadowhawk »

So I went over and took some pictures!

Cell-phone camera pictures of the site.
We don't really know how the fire started yet, and will probably never know. It might have been some kids smoking on the porch at night, or it might have been a short in a power socket near the front wall.
Ironically, three days earlier, we had had a printer serviceguy come out and clean the printer I took a picture of in that set. He said its fuser needed replacing; the thermal sensors were shot and it was overheating. The paper rollers were half-melted and when it got heavy use, transfered the rubber to the page. He said it was a fire hazard and should be turned off when not in use. The fire inspector thinks the fire started about 6 feet away from the printer, though. :?

Computer I brought home to open up and take better pictures of.
It'll be going back to the tech center for enshrining, or something. This is the first catastrophic loss we've had in the district, and should help drive home the 'Save to the server!' mantra we've been pushing for years. :D

I may try to further disassemble it, for fun.
