Apparently, I have been forgetting some things I learned in middle/high school math such as in algebra, geometry, etc so I need a solid textbook that I can use to teach to myself. There's a range of old edition textbooks I could buy used at Amazon or Half.com so price shouldn't be an issue. The main issue is clarity and thus the ability to get through topics at a quick pace. Unless any author will suffice, what textbook would you recommend?
Yes, laugh all you want but at least I'm trying.
Need a textbook to refresh myself in grade school math.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."
Don't feel bad its only been a couple of years since I got my B.S. in mathematics and I already forgot most of it. Especially since my job doesn't need any math really, and my Masters uses very little math as well.
But as for recommanding a book a simple tri through the book store should give you need. Or better yet the library.

You're at university, right? Just take a jaunt through the university library and grab a book on algebra for college students, pre-calculus, or geometry. That should about cover it. Note that if you want to jump to higher math eventually, most calculus books have a trig and algebra II refresher as a beginning or an appendix, so you can use those. That, and once you know trig, geometry becomes easier.
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.
