I made a topic to vent how pissed off I was about uber-geeks who cause us to be lumped in their group. Then I realized that I have had no recent encounters with the weirdos of the world. Why am I pissed off at something that hasn't even happened to me lately?

That's just how I am. Little things get me mad, and remembering them makes me mad years later. This is not healthy for me, but I can't help it. I think it's because I was raised by a step-mother who would always go off at the slightest provocation, and unforutantely, kids far more often pick up their parents' worst qualities than their positive ones. That and I also got my father's meekness, and I feel like I'm a time bomb waiting to go off.

Counting to ten doesn't help, and sometimes I worry I'll never bring it under control. It honestly scares me sometimes. What do you think about all this? What should I do?

You can do what I do, I hold it in and use the "energy" in argumants etc. It goes good because I rarely use arguments.

I'm like that too. My memory seems sort of fucked compared to everyone else. I can't remember shit five minutes from now, but more than likely a few weeks or even years later it will pop back. There's been many times to I just go fucking awol. Don't know why. Just go find some poor sap to screw over.

I've always found Johnny the Homicidal Maniac to be a good place to vent some steam...
Exercise is also good.

I myself share a bit of that meekness...But I don't really get mad...Just kinda quiet.

Mine:
1. Quake 3

It took the better part of 10 years to almost get my emotions under control.
But even now, I sometimes just had enough, something stupid happens, I just loose it. I smash something in my vicinity. And in that moment I just don't care what. Which mean countless pencils, rulers, books, computer mouses and keyboards,... And when I have nothing to smash, I just punch my fist over and over and over against a wall or table.

After some 20, 30 minutes, I get my emotions under control again, buit then the worst already happened...

Depending on the setting and situation I can usually control my anger, but just as often (Depending on the setting once again) I just let it all out in a torrent of swearing that would make passers-by think I have a crippling case of Terets (spelling?) syndrome.

At times it is very useful to control your anger. At other times it's nice to just let it out.

I'm very good at controlling my anger in public, but in private, I just explode and take it out on everyone. I keep getting the damn feeling that I want to crush the throat of everyone in this house. And my sis gets the worst of it

If you rant about the things that make you angry, that's better than destroying things as proxies for the things that make you angry, or bottling it up and then taking it out randomly on anyone who happens to be near you.

I also happen to think that a lot of people who have anger problems are just not getting enough sex, and their frustration manifests itself this way.

*sigh* I know. Its just that when I complain to my sister about the things about her that make me angry, she always ignores me as if it's nothing of her motherfucking business and goes off to play in her little pretty marxist world.

I can't speak for all angry people, but it certainly isn't something about sexual frustration with me.
I have those "anger problems" ever since I was a small child. And it was ugly back then, because I lacked the emotional control I have now.

If i'm ever angry, I would day dream that I chopped peoples' head, hands, arms, feet, or legs with a ninja sword.

Edit: In private of course.
And if it's in public or with friends...I never lose it...but It's usually in the home.

When I get angry, I usually end up destroying something. And the zoloft I tkae doesn't help much, since I get it after I went on my angry rampage.

All zoloft does is kill your sex drive. I tried it and prozac as well, and I was just as furious as ever with no sex drive whatsoever. I hate antidepressants.
