Uhhh...you know I support Nintendo first out of the three platform holders, right? I haven't even bought a PS3 yet.TheMuffinKing wrote:Hmm, Ps3's sitting in stacks collecting dust at Wal-Mart (and others), a mediocre offering of mediocre games, constant device failures, bad customer service, high price and over hype are definately indicative of a superior product.![]()
Xbox 360's are still selling strong in the U.S. and Europe (not so much), have a metric shit ton of games by compairison, and don't rely on a (insert corporation here) cock sucking fanbase to constantly hype their machine while spitting vitriol at the opposition.
Don't hate Microsoft because they made a great product for once.
PS3 lost. Hard. Live with it.
So everyone who doesn't want a 360 is a 'dribbling idiot fanboy'? Riiiiiiiight. Heaven forbid they simply don't like the games for whatever reason. *I* don't want one, and I have no problem with the console - clearly, I'm a dribbling idiot fanboy.Vendetta wrote:Well, if they did have a product that was objectively bad outside the mind of a dribbling idiot fanboy, maybe the question would have ironic overtones.
However, since the 360 is a solid product with a solid game lineup, I think it's a valid question.
(Of course, we all know what's wrong with you, so it's rhetorical in your case...)
X360 is still doing worse than the PS3 in Japan?!Vendetta wrote:Incidentally, Japan has registered a great big "meh" over the PS3 as well, and it's only one place above the 360 in the weekly hardware sales charts (5th and 6th respectively), and is shifting less software units weekly as well.
Of course, launching against the "Holy shit it does what with the controller" Wii at twice the price was a pretty much guaranteed way to get a total shoeing. They should have launched worldwide in March, rather than just in Europe, with the scaler issues and HDMI sound issues (reported by Toms Hardware at least) sorted out and a volume of product manufactured.
The X360's had an ENTIRE YEAR to accumulate games, I realize MOST may not appeal to Japanese but the PS3's got vanishingly less to compare to. I do NOT think you're a drooling fanboy biased against MS and the 360 as my argument is entirely aimed at the Japanese consumers, my reasoning seeks to explain specifically and ONLY them.Stark wrote:Dude, are you just not thinking about what you said? There are plenty of games... they don't like. A huge online playerbase... of Americans. PS3 is probably outselling it solely because it came out recently and the bizarre Sony-love.
I've started seriously considering getting a 360. You know why? Guitar Hero 2 on 360 will let you download the GH1 songs, an impossibility on the PS2 version. You see how that works? A game I actually want, and I think about buying one. The games that kinda interest me would never be enough to make me buy one, and there's only four games I'm even remotely interested in. Clearly, I am a drooling fanboy biased against Microsoft and the 360.
You mean like Gundam: Crossfire which Gundam Fans refused to buy a PS3 for despite being loyal Sony Customers and are instead waiting patiently for Gundam: Mobile Ops/Operation Troy for the 360 which is pictured in that letter?Vendetta wrote:Well, if they did have a product that was objectively bad outside the mind of a dribbling idiot fanboy, maybe the question would have ironic overtones.
SPC Brungardt wrote:That being said, my edit already probably explained it. There really is NO significant market for HD over there, reasonable consumers went Wii (I'm certainly not arguing the X360 against the Wii in Japan) but Sony fanboyism is the tie breaker.
I think I have an alternate theory. Like, with the very basis of this advertising campaign, style of thing. If this isn't a truly radical change(And I've no reason to think it is), perhaps.. Just perhaps.. You're full of it?Naturally, telling your customers that they're stupid for not buying your terrible product is the best form of marketing.
I can't speak for Japan, but in my case it's not so much a case of being bias as it is that the PS3's list of titles coming out has more on it than 360 does.SPC Brungardt wrote: If true, who the fuck is still gonna argue for the Japanese consumers not being biased? Based on what? The PS3 is the demonstrable failure yet it's still outpacing the X360 in Japan. It could be by 1000 units, not an object.
But...the 360 has THE iDOLM@STER!!Stark wrote:Dude, are you just not thinking about what you said? There are plenty of games... they don't like. A huge online playerbase... of Americans. PS3 is probably outselling it solely because it came out recently and the bizarre Sony-love.
I don't really care about Xbox, but i think its very nice, and i'm mildly interested in the Wii, but i know i hate Sony, not the PS3, necesarily, it's just that they have been fucking their costumers in the ass hard for years and years and they somehow still have a huge amount of cocksucking idiots following their every word (i dont mean everyone who owns a PS3, but god i do know more than a few of this type of people).Sharp-kun wrote:I can't speak for Japan, but in my case it's not so much a case of being bias as it is that the PS3's list of titles coming out has more on it than 360 does.SPC Brungardt wrote: If true, who the fuck is still gonna argue for the Japanese consumers not being biased? I don't give a fuck about the 360 and MS being better for reason XYZ, if another console has more games I want. When Banpresto and Nippon Ichi start developing for 360, maybe then I'll care enough to buy one. Until then I settle for going to friends flats, same as I do for the Wii.
Wholesome gameplay like this will surely improve the console's reputationSpanky The Dolphin wrote:But...the 360 has THE iDOLM@STER!!Stark wrote:Dude, are you just not thinking about what you said? Suddenly 360 is more appealing...Xisiqomelir wrote: Wholesome gameplay like this will surely improve the console's reputation
An ad campaign with a stupid message kicked off BECAUSE X360's still got no traction.SirNitram wrote:SPC Brungardt wrote:That being said, my edit already probably explained it.
