A Year as the opposite sex?
If you were given a chance to be magically changed physically into a member of the opposite sex for a year, would you take it?
Assuming you accepted it, or it was forced on you, how would you deal with it?

No, I think I prefer to be male.

Being a woman for a year... would be interesting. Whole new perspective on things.

I don't think I would have to leave the house for a year.

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Wouldn't people wonder what happened to me? And if I tried explaining who I was, they'd think I was crazy. It would be hard to prove that I'm really Joe and not....Joanna? Not only that, but I wouldn't want guys hitting on me if I were hot.

Given the choice, I might actually go for it.
But the question is, would it be me suddenly becoming a woman, or would reality subtlely be altered to seem as if, for that year, I had always been female? I might have second thoughts if I had to explain my gender change to my family.

No thanks. My ego revolves around me being male. I don't want to get hit on if guys find me hot.

A good question (I assume you mean if you had been female for forever, not for a year).SAMAS wrote:Given the choice, I might actually go for it.

Nah. My ego is fed by being a woman suurounded by blokes.
If I was bloke, I'd just be another long haired freakish rock fan who read science fiction, plays RPGs, can work a computer, program a VCR, and churn out the entire script of Red Dwarf.
Plus, me bloke wouldn't fancy me any more. I'll keep my boobs, thanks.

Yeah, right, as if terribly many of us SDNers leave our houses regularly. hahaha
..
Me, I would do it as long as the change was BELOW the waste and my body as a whole remained unchanged and if it were for a month or less and if i didnt have the fucked up emotional problems and a PERIOD. eugh. I would also like to have control of my dick size upon returning to being a guy

Re: A Year as the opposite sex?
No, I wouldn't like the fact that other guys are going to be staring at my ass and/or making moves on me. That and the fact that I don't need to fear walking around dark alone in dark places that don't have women and children.Alex Moon wrote:If you were given a chance to be magically changed physically into a member of the opposite sex for a year, would you take it?

If it was forced on me, I'd trying to look like a man and pick up lesbians on the side.

No. I've seen what my wife goes through, and I want none of it.Alex Moon wrote:If you were given a chance to be magically changed physically into a member of the opposite sex for a year, would you take it?

I'll take it, since it's a whole new perspective and all that. Plus, I don't think being a girl is the absolute hell many people attribute the experience to be, me personally having spent nearly every day with a sister and a mom.
At the very least it would help one somewhat understand women better. This could come in handy for some in dating purposes.

I wouldn't want a whole year, but about three months or so would be interesting.
I wouldn't want it all if it was sudden, where I had to try and explain it. If it was a 'natural' change, where it seemed normal to everyone that I was a male one day, and a femal the next, I would do it just for the experience.
Being hit on wouldn't bother me. Some of my friends are gay, and every so often I go out bar hopping with them, so I already have experience turning down offers from the same sex.
I would experiment with the masturbation thing, but I (hopefully) wouldn't let that consume the experiment
This reminds me of a book, called Black Boy, IIRC, where the author (whose name escapes me, Richard something-or-other) was a white man that lived as a black man the mid 1960's or so, with professional make-up and all, and tried to get jobs, ride on buses, etc. I even think it was down in the deep South, but I haven't read the book in twenty years. At any rate, it was a very interesting read.
I love situations where I can empathize, put myself in someone else's shoes for a bit. Very enlightening.

Would people know that I suddenly changed?

Yes the biggest thing would be if people knew that you had not or just happen or preferably they thought you always had been for that year(IE you where born and raised the opposte sex and records and THIER memeories reflect as such)
Without that Condition and being the fact I like living I have to turn it down least I be shot on the next day I went into work(Security is tight for a reason fokes and "overnight-sex-change operation" just won't fly as an exuse)
IF the Memeory/Record Mod WAS incudling in that 1 Year Other sex, I'd go for it, simply because of the chance of a completely new perspective
