"This is supposed to be a happy occasion... Let's not bicker and argue about who killed who."

"Nothing of consequence happened today. " -- Diary of King George III, July 4, 1776

"This is not bad; this is a conspiracy to remove happiness from existence. It seeks to wrap its hedgehog hand around the still beating heart of the personification of good and squeeze until it is stilled."

Wow. Strawman much?

I'm surprised you made it that far...I stopped after a couple of minutes of that crud.

I know what they're trying to get across, but it just falls flat.

It wasn't too bad. I thought it was a bit over-the-top at time with the ridiculous exaggerations, but some of the parts I thought were genuinely funny notwithstanding.

A couple of things seemed to have a grain of truth.

I didn't like the end at all.

Farm subsidies are a political maneuver designed to please rural constituents. They don't make any rational sense; in no other industry do we so aggressively fight the spectre of small-business bankruptcy as we do for the so-called "family farm".

Because the "family farm" is the last true vestige of "traditional" family values, good wholesome living, yadda, yadda. Just ask any FM.
