Kyle detected no unusual sounds around the house. The houses were mostly quiet, with the occasional sound of a too loud tv or stereo drifting faintly through the night air.

Kyle waited a bit more until he was satisfied, or at least as close to as possible, that there was no all too visible surprise waiting for him.
He walked towards the house and looked for the entrance.

A single eyebrow raised in a slightly amused expression.

"Nah," Franco said with a half-cocked smile, his voice low and even. "A 'Giovanni cocksucker' like me would rather fuck the stinking corpse of your mother up the ass while you're forced to watch and then have it serve me the blood of your descendants. Did you ever have any children in life, James?" He paused for the briefest of moments. "No, don't worry about it. McDonalds is always such greasy, processed shit."

"Look," his smile was gone but his manner was still casual, as if nothing could phase him. "I don't give a shit about the best interests of Clan Brujah. Nobody does. I give a shit about whether there is a diablerist in my city or not. I'll definitely remember that you don't care about helping out with that. One night when you need my services, and that night will come, I'll remember."

He turned away from the man, shaking his head bemused but had to turn back for one more thing. "Oh, and Jim? I honestly had no interest in Bob Kingman other than what he knew about his killer. Now... Now you've got me curious..."

Franco on the other hand, saw seething rage. James bared his fangs. "You talk tough in here, you worthless piece of shit, but you won't be in here forever."

Again the Giovanni smiled. "And you talk like a child, Small Time Jim. It really is quite pathetic. Do you want me to hire somebody to change your diaper for you or something?"

He motioned to the door. "I think I'm leaving right now actually. Maybe talk to the Prince or the Nos and find someone who cares about finding Kingman's killer, if you'd care to join me. Though, with that temper and attitude, I'm beginning to wonder if you're not the killer yourself. What was your relationship to him, hmm? Jilted lover?"

With that, Franco headed back to Jack and Kergan to say a cheery good bye to the new Assimite and advise the other to help his clansmen get the sand out of his vagina. Then he made his way to the door, always keeping a casual eye on the seething Jim.

Having not turned his back on the fuming Kindred, Franco was at least ready for the attack to happen. As quickly and as hard (potence) as he could, he swung the closing door into his attacker's charge and leaped to the side, out of the way. As he moved, he sent his supernatural blood coursing through his body, heightening physical abilities.

McDonald blew through the door in a blur. Franco's attempt to dodge out of the way was just too slow. His fist smashed the Giovanni in the chest, breaking bones and bruising flesh while sending shards of broken bone slicing through his chest cavity cutting muscle and spilling blood. The Giovanni left the ground and landed halfway down the stairs. The Brujah rushed forward to continue the beating.

"Always has to be a scene," Jack grumbled. "They may only be words, but Franco should know better than to bait a Brujah."

He threw a glance at the two vampires near him. "Mark, Kergan, I'm going to go see about breaking up that fight. If you know what's good for you, you'll stay out of it. Consider it, shall we say, an internal affair."

Once his intentions were declared, Jack began to walk briskly towards the burgeoning fight. He was fast enough to get there in moments, but he thought it prudent to take a little time. First, he had a decent amount of vitae, but didn't want to start burning it all off this early in the evening. Second, it would give Jim the chance to work out some of his aggression before Jack tried to intervene. And third...well...a sound beating might serve in teaching the Giovanni a little humility.

Franco's eyes rolled in his head as he reeled from the onslaught. This kind of thing wasn't especially damaging to his undead body, but it still bloody-well hurt.

"Come on, you stupid ape," he said quietly to himself, blood spattering his lips. "Come on. Right out into the street."

Staying on his back he waited for the next charge to reach him. With his head angled down the stone stairs he was in the perfect position and when Jim made his attack, the Giovanni kicked, using the other man's own enhanced momentum to launch Jim down the stairs.

Franco's shot a hand out to grab a lock of hair as the Brujah came within reach.

Mark nodded his head as Jack made it clear that it was a Brujah problem, though deep in his mind he chuckled at how the Brujah always complained abuot being shit on when they were always going around doing things by themselves.

"Had no interest in getting involved, especially after Franco's stupidity."

Mark turned to look at Kergan. "You'll get used to that. Giovanni and Brujah mix about as well as Ravnos and Gangrel." Mark smiled some and turned to find the brawlers had disappeared. "Then again, we might want to keep an eye on them." Mark casually walked towards the door the fury of a Brujah had charged through, whistling an old Rachmaninov concerto as he followed, intent on watching for now and only interfering if it became clear that the Masquerade would be put in danger.

Franco's plan sort of worked. He landed a glancing blow on "Lucky Jim's" side and knocked the Brujah down. McDonald snarled and kicked the Giovanni's legs out from under him with bruising force before jumping back up.

Kyle examined the lock and found it was probably a simple bolt connecting a wooden door to a wood frame. Sturdy, but not impossible to force.

"Damn," Kyle muttered. He walked back to the car and took a close look into his boot to find something he could use as leverage. A car jack looked promising. Taking it, he walked back tot he door and tried his luck again.

Kyle returned to his task. It took a few disturbingly loud whacks to smash in the door, but it was accomplished. It was clear from the disarray inside the house that it had been systematically searched.

Kyle smiled satisfactorily, walked inside the house closed the smashed door and put the car jack in front of it.
"Someone must have been really interested in this person," he muttered. He stood for a while, listening for noises or people in the house while scanning the rooms he saw in every detail, burning everything in his eidetic memory.

The house had been systematically searched. A careful check of the house revealed no cash or jewelry remaining as well as no address books, cell phones, PDAs or similar devices. Broken objects and scuff marks left a trail to the blood splattered kitchen floor where the killing seemed to have actually taken place.
