I think what helps Natalie Portman is that it's obvious she is already putting a fair amount of effort taking good care of herself, exercising and eating well (even if she's a vegetarian). Kirsten Dunst doesn't appear to be doing so, at least not to the extent that NP is currently.

Well, it's not like freckles are freakish

I just find them a quick way to tell if a redhead is dyed or not; if they have freckles, they're probably real; otherwise, probably dyed.

Depends on the girl, too. Freckles look great on some girls, but hideous on others...
