New Star Wars game titled, detailed.

That picture of the ISD over the city is awesome. I want this now
Marcus Aurelius: ...the Swedish S-tank; the exception is made mostly because the Swedes insisted really hard that it is a tank rather than a tank destroyer or assault gun
Ilya Muromets: And now I have this image of a massive, stern-looking Swede staring down a bunch of military nerds. "It's a tank." "Uh, yes Sir. Please don't hurt us."

Because, no matter how much we are willing to shit on continuity, we cannot make Darth Vader female and take off all his clothes.Vympel wrote:Why can't we just play as Darth Vader and kill lots of people?
Duct tape. That has got to be duct tape holding her breasts in place.

I couldn't agree more. I love the KOTOR period. Armies of Jedi and Sith laying waste to each other and killing billions of innocents in the process. All out war on such a massive scale, but with LIGHTSABERS AND FORCEPOWERS OMIGOSH!Sarevok wrote:I dont get it, If the producers want lots of lightsaber duels why not set the game in KOTOR period ? That gives them all the Jedi and Sith for player to kill without messing with original triology storyline.
... Yeah, I'm a big fan of KOTOR. I've seen a few videos for this, and all I can say is, I really don't care if it's plot is retarded. I'll just ignore it. Based on the Force Powers Pre-Vis, I'll be too busy annihilating every foe in my path to even care, for the most part.
Still, it would be nice if it doesn't screw with the continuity. I don't think Quinlan Vos is gonna be in it though (That was mentioned somewhere in this threat, right?) because I've read that he's going to be in the Star Wars live-action TV series... then again, that's just rumors and fan-speculation for the most part, and since both this game and the TV series are set in roughly the same time-period, I suppose he could appear in both.
Anyway, to sum my post up, the game looks like it has some potential, but I would like it better if it was set in the KOTOR era, and you were playing as Revan, fucking shit up hardcore...

You can't do it in this new game, either. The Apprentice is a set character with a set name which they haven't revealed yet. No customizability.Dooey Jo wrote:Because, no matter how much we are willing to shit on continuity, we cannot make Darth Vader female and take off all his clothes.Vympel wrote:Why can't we just play as Darth Vader and kill lots of people?
Besides, Thumb Wars proves you wrong. People HAVE turned him female.
It must really, really hurt when she changes her clothes...Duct tape. That has got to be duct tape holding her breasts in place.

You owe me 10c then.LaserRifleofDoom wrote:Betcha 10c that it's their (first) super Wii-lightsaber game.
According to all the sources I've read from the Wii is one of the few consoles this game ISN'T coming out on. It's a PS3/XBox360 release, with a dumbed-down version being released for the PS2, and for the PSP and the DS, I believe.
I consider Blackman pretty much the Michael Bay of the EU, so... I'm not too terribly optimistic.VT-16 wrote:Hey, clothes-wise, the movies set a precedence, so I can't really complain. The author of the story has been involved with SW:Republic and the tie-in novel to SW:Galaxies (which I heard was good), so the story might be decent.
...
I'm trying to keep a level of optimism...

Wonder what'll be the (most) canonical of the Force Unleashed media...

Funky looking destroyer.
What kind of fucked up not-quite Venator / wannabe-Imperator is that thing? Why do I sense continuity problems revolving around that destroyer? Maybe they'll call it the Harrow and make more of a mess out of the warship canon.

You realize Jedi are basically religious fundamentalists?General Schatten wrote: Star Wars Unleashed? So when does Star Wars: Jedi Girls Gone Wild come out?
The existence of two seperate threads on this issue in two seperate forums frustrates me. As such, this is getting merged with the G&C thread. A PSW thread on this subject would be more appropriate after the game has come out.
