I actually don't mind this because Cally and the Chief aren't soulless bastards and the scum of humanity.

Wow, this is highly emotional. Some of the best scenes I've seen this season with regard to the drama. Real edge of the seat stuff. I might have missed a few episodes but I think this is gonna be one for the books.

Well that was about an 11 on the pucker meter

Wow, am I supposed to be blown away that Adama had a bad relationship with his wife? Hard to get worked up over the accusations of someone we've never seen before.

Good catch there. Talk about a rough ride for those two, though.

Huh. So Adama not only is friends with drunks, but he marries them to. Interesting. It's like real people, except more so. Humanly flawed to an exagerated degree. Its the one flaw, that fact that everyone's innermost doubts are laid bare to us all the time. Except Adama. They keep that facade up for us most of the time. Kara's dropped her's one too many times, so the ace pilot seems a little too much like an act now rather than an actual aspect of her personality.

Cool. Grandpa's law library, just happened to be on Galactica all this time. Convenient, huh?

It's sweet of Laura to give Bill a trashy novel. Also, that they totally trash their time on New Caprica now.

Ok, enough backstory. This was good backstory, I liked it, but advance the plot please.

Overall not a bad episode, I would categorize it as high quality filler, but filler none the less. I need some meat. This show has shown that meat is possible and I want some more of it.

Ok great episode, and I am now 57% sure that Roslyn and Adama have... "shacked up". The CG used to show Cheif and Cally's capture by the rapor was well done, the promos sucessfuly managed to hide the real plot with Adama and his past. This ewpisode was well wrtinen, a good example of if you have to do an epsiode in a series which does not advance the core plot too much (This episode is too good to be called "filler") This episode was how to do a mainstream sci fi show. Good Character devloment? Check. Pretty ship images? Check. Good CG work? Check. I feel that this episode is a dare I say it... 5/5!

Liked that comment by Tigh, about how they'd need Six Weeks in drydock just to hammer out the dents

You got to figure, at some point the old girl is going to need some major refit work or she's just going to fall apart.

Looks like no more Boom yet again next week  which makes me think we getting set up for some major Boom pretty soon :D

??? Ok, this doesn't make sense.

The Chief already had union ideas as seen on the final episode of last season. The idea of a work stoppage shouldn't be new to him. Why exactly they would start listening to Baltar after already figuring out the he's batshit makes no sense to me.

Seems like a plot hole, I don't like it.

Great episode, and interesting preview for next we. The proletariat enlisted are being exploited by the bourgeoisie officer class! Strike Strike!

hmm....lets see how well that works out in the military Chief :P
I used to think that it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them? So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe. ~Marcus Cole, Babylon 5

I'm confused too, but since we're not getting the full picture maybe that's what we're supposed to feel like. Hopefully it isn't as stupid as it sounds.

I've been kind of hard on Galactica of late, comparing it mostly with it's past badassness generally speaking up until after Exodus II. Figured it should be able to keep that level of the first two seasons (minus several bomber eps). However, after readjusting my scale for this ep I'd say it's a solid 4. Not a major progression, but I really enjoy Olmos in this series and enjoy the time we see of him. Also the Adama/Laura thing is never overplayed, and they do seem as two mature adults that are developing deep feelings for one another. This stuck with that.

A solid episode. 4 material but for the lack of pressure suits or real redundancy. I give it a 3.

This episode gets a solid 5 from me. A good introspective A-plot for Adama, a really tense B-plot with Tyrol and Cally that had some great emotion, and a couple of nice scenes between Adama and Roslin. Plus a little more added to the Baltar plot.

That was just a good epsiode. I'll admit, I would have liked to see more stuff on the main story, but this was a really well done episode.

I found this one to be an average BSG episode. The split focus between the two plots was a bit weak; they needed to focus on one more over the other and strengthen its development of suspense/plot/character. I would have favored having a stronger 'airlock dilemma', as I'm not a fan of a show self-analyzing its characters in as clear and open terms as Adama's wife did.
They kind of did the same narrative technique in Final Cut, where the documentary is used to analyze the situation of both the ship to the fleet and the show to the audience. I'd rather figure out how characters tick by interacting with each other normally, not by finding ways to spell it out for everyone.

Oh well, still a very enjoyable episode. It's not like the cast was facing off against some computer-generated werewolf (after spending 15 minutes of merely discussing said werewolf), and were mugging for the camera to let us know what a scary puppet it is.

I did like the bonus footage with Dee and Gaeta. Looks like rumors about the Pres and the Admiral are getting around.

I thought that scene actually stuck out quite a bit in terms of matching the overall style of the show. Seemed a little more like something they'd try to force into our eyes by proxy of a DS9 episode...
