Correct, however Nosferatu don't worry about that, after all once you've already installed the back door, why does one need to break in.

No, that didn't happen. You posted a success, which you don't get to do. I posted results, which is what happens. You knocked him down, he kicked you off your feet, and he got back up.

:?: All I said was that he shot a hand out to grab a lock of hair. I didn't think that was posting a success. Didn't mean to be anyway or I wouldn't have asked.

No, you posted that you were kicking him and then you were grabbing a hunk of hair.

I did. Three times, because it was unclear. Then I made a ruling.

I have no problem with the ruling one way or the other, but, grammatical error aside, how is,
Mark S wrote:Franco's shot a hand out to grab a lock of hair as the Brujah came within reach.
unclear? Shot a hand out to grab a lock of hair. To grab. Not 'and grabbed'. Not 'grabbed'. How is that in any way implying success and not an attempted action???

Whatever. Can we get past this?

Because you posted him kicking down the stairs before that, when he was above you on the stairs. Read what you wrote.

Question: Are new players still welcome, or do you have enough? I've never actually played a game of VtM, but I've been wanting to try it for some time now. I don't have the rules on me, but I have a friend who is in possession of the rulebook, so I could probably wrangle it off him. I'm (mostly) up to date on what's happened to far (by mostly, I mean I skimmed some bits to get see how it was going), and I'm aware that if I joined, my character would have none of the knowledge that I have of what's going on, so you needn't worry about that.

Anyway, I'm starting to ramble, so... yeah, if you're still welcoming new players, then I'd be honoured to join in.

New characters can join. Run your concept by me when you have it.

Understood. I shall nab the Core Rulebook off my friend ASAP and read through it thoroughly before working on my character concept. I already have something in mind, so it shouldn't be too hard. Might try to grab the Player's Guide if he has that too... every little bit helps.

Well, I've made my character and gotten approval from Imperial Overlord, so I'll just give some basic info on my character.

He's a Caitiff called Joscelin Delaney, and he's about 150 years old, but his appearance is that of someone just getting out their teens. He's rather handsome, in a androgynous, boyish sort of way, with lily white skin and bright blue eyes. He's known fairly well in the Vancouver region, although he doesn't meet people very often, he's earnt himself a name of sorts. It's uncommon for a Caitiff to gain any status amoung the Camarillia, but Joscelin managed. His sire is a Ventrue Elder of some small stature, and thus, Joscelin does a lot of work for clan Ventrue, despite not being part of the clan. He's most well known for not only surviving an encounter with a Lupine in the early 1970's, but for taking it's hand off aswell, although he was very close to experiencing the Final Death when he was found, lying in torpor with wounds that would have killed one of the kine ten times over.

Well, that's basicly the most that anyone would know about my character, if they've heard about him at all. It's been kinda quiet since I asked to join up. I hope I didn't come in just as everyone was leaving. That'd suck the big one.

I had my hopes so high when I saw that he was a caitiff. Then you just had to go and dash them by making him not be everyone's bitch. :(

yes, the neonate is strong in the force.

actually I once had one of the oldest caitiffs in a campaign a long time ago. (Gangrel sire was killed by Cromwell's witchhunters). When your character is older then the prince, you might have a cait, who qualifies for the primogen.

There's a prince in either the Middle East or North Africa who is Caitiff. There's also the Stone Man, who is at least four hundred years old and probably around 6th Generation.

of course it could be argued by some people that Bridget was a Gangrel after all, just that she had lost all memory after being tortured by cromwell's goons. Of course when you strongly resemble the pagan goddess Morrigan after survivning fire, and going into torpor in one of Ireland's bogs, you might be a little wierd.

I have a VtM related question I was wondering if you could help me with, since I'm kind of new to VtM. A friend of mine informed me that a 9th Gen vampire, since they can spend two bloodpoints per turn, can use Celerity twice in a turn. i.e. Using Spending two bloodpoints to use Celerity 3 twice in the same turn, thus getting six extra actions. I've skimmed through the core rulebook, but I didn't have time to read through the whole thing thoroughly, so I want to know if this is true. It smelled like bullshit to me, but I could be wrong.

Also, Imperial Overlord, have the large majority of players abandoned the story, or are most of them just irregular posters, with the exception of Dahak and Mark S? I'm hoping it's the latter. 'cause I'll be darned disappointed if it falls apart before I can really sink my teeth into it, figuratively speaking. I like the way the story is going so far.

It's bullshit. That would be so horrendously broken that it would make Temporis look tame. Either way, Celerity says "The Character spends a single blood point ... she gains a number of additional full actions equal to her Celerity rating." It doesn't outright say you can only spend one, but it is most definately implied.
