Post by fusion »

Yes it is a squid that can make "Calamari the Size of a Tractor Tire" :D .
Link
Now that would make a cool pet.
Of course now we have a squid bigger than any other being caught.
Ideas? :)

Now, it's not a giant squid, it is a colossal squid. The article is very diligent about pointing that out. Colossal squid can grow to be 46 feet long, but giant squid peter out at a mere 39 feet. Wimps.

As for your question, well, I think it's obvious. Stick a mind control device on it and send it to attack enemy shipping.

Damn you, I was hoping we'd gotten a live Colossal Squid for captivity... I could see the different aquariums taking out loans just to have that...

I take it that "39 feet long" refers to the top of its head to the tip of its longest tentacle.

He's referring to the fact that sushi implies the presence of sushi rice; sashimi is the slab of raw seafood without additional interference of kelp paper and rice.

I love squid. It's a shame it's dead.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, aren't the bigger squids flesh full of ammonium ions, making them inedible?

Yeah, you're correct, sir.

I wonder how Spermies do it.

Shhh, lets keep that quiet. We aren't prepared to assault yet...

Thats a very good question. I've heard all about how Sperm Whales eat the squid, but never how they actually manage to stomach it. Do they have some exotic process going on to allow them to eat them that cetologists aren't telling us about?

Maybe they're just so massive that large squid don't pack enough ammonium to reach harmful toxicity levels.

We can research whether or not colossal squid digests like regular squid. In the name of science, of course.

Look on the bright side, no one's mentioned tentacle hentai yet.

Good call. That might indeed be what's happening there... I'll see if I can look that one up.

No, the first thing we talked about was sticking a mind control device and employing it as a BOW.

Quiet you! I'm far too busy working on my plan to exploit the giant squids for their ammonia content, so I can synthesize an industrial solvent, to listen to your shinnaniganry.

Agreed. We don't even know much about the way the live...anyway, I'm still hoping more 'giant' size sea creatures can be discovered.

Like the giant Sea Snail? Its out there, I know it is. It will be the size of a house when we find it.

I'm still hoping we find that elusive pegasus so I can ride around on it and crap on people's houses. It could be in the sea... it could be...
