I'm still having to wonder.... Truth or lie. Arilian, or just a fuckin' good impressionist?

Also, somthing we should have seen a long time ago comes out. These ships are not picnics. They aren't pleasent. A lot of them are dirty. A lot of them stink to high heaven. The Chief has a big point here. And nobody's listening to a rational man today.
Especially when the President says "You think the people on the munitions and Algae ships are having a picnic?"

Moore hates if a character doesn't get enough time to be an ass at something. Adama is, by and large, an honorable man. He makes mistakes, but he never came across as someone who just dismisses certain things out of hand, especially from someone he likes and trusts like the Chief. We have now two back to back episodes with him and Roslin both sticking their fingers in their ears and going "la la la" to anyone with half a braincell that seems to see a problem that needs, desperately, to be resolved. It's annoying because these characters just don't seem like the type to do that so effortlessly when we've seen competant leadership from both Roslin and Adama on countless other occasions.

It only takes a few pro-Baltar people reading the book, convincing their friends to 'at least have a look', and having those friends sucked in by the almost-but-not-quite-truths that a guy like Baltar is more than capable of coming up with. Start the cascade, and you're good to go.

I was thinking Yorkshire, because it sounds to me like Sean Bean's accent.

I'm not sure I buy this "grew up on a dairy farm" story Baltar's suddenly peddling. Why didn't he push this background in his campaign for President last season? I think Chief's right and it's made-up bullshit to appeal to people for some reason of his own. Maybe he thinks he'll rally the people to push for his release and try to retake the Presidency.

Frankly, it would have been smarter (and easier for me to accept its popularity) if Baltar had released it anonymously.
Is it a crime to try and learn the truth? Is it a sin to search for those things which you fear? My purpose in this world is knowledge, and the dissemination of it. And it is I who is to restore the fruits of my labors to the entire world. Wake up! Don’t be afraid of knowledge! Humans who loose the capacity to think become creatures whose existence has no value. Think, you humans who are split into two worlds! Unless you want the gulf between humans to expand into oblivion, YOU MUST THINK! - Schwarzwald

I for one think it would be quite funny if the Cylons attacked en masse right the fuck now.

Sure... if Baltar was trying to start a revolution. Baltar is doing what Baltar has always done: trying to save his own ass, regardless of the harm it does to everybody else. What good would it have done to work to start a popular revolution when the public wants you dead?

I see this as a not-too-subtle setup to the trial. Get some of the public on Baltar's side so that it is plausable that he somehow gets off on all the charges or whatever. At least gain sympathy for him so that it's more than just a mob wanting to hang his ass.

So, isnt this just a big happy fleet now

This is seriously frakked up
"Of course, what would really happen is that in Game 7, with the Red Sox winning 20-0 in the 9th inning, with two outs and two strikes on the last Cubs batter, a previously unseen meteor would strike the earth, instantly and forever wiping out all life on the planet, and forever denying the Red Sox a World Series victory..."

Thing is, what they're doing is perfectly sensible from their end. The number of minor complaints daily must be enormous, considering the frustration of the fleet in general. I don't exactly see a problem with the two have a caviler attitude about working conditions in general.

Of course, what Adama's doing with Cally is pretty... sketchy. Still defensible... kinda...

As the grandaughter and neice of coalminers... this is damn familar.

Did you notice some of the hardhats were just a peice of metal rivetted to a leather cap? The new kid had no workgloves? I think his arm's crushed... gauze ain't gonna do shit.

Holy shit, Admiral's gone bonkers. The point is, everything effects everyone in the fleet, so it's not all about getting the tylium refiners overtime or whatnot.
