That's cool. I really like that underlit spotlight thing.

Thank you all for the nice comments. I still can't believe it held up for this many years. Here it is in the daylight without the lights on:

It's the AMT kit that is just over 22 inches long. Don't know how to convert that to metric. Sorry.

Just over half a mater, if my bastardized imperial/metric (Imperitric) Education was anything remotely resembling anything accurate.

Unfortunately they all come on at once with one switch.

Very nice work. If you want to take a picture of the ship with the lights on, I'd suggest turning off all the lights in the room except for some table lamps which you point at the model, and then mounting your camera on a tripod and using a long exposure with no flash.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I have a photography friend who was going to take pics of it but time got away from us. So model sat in his basement for a few years. I brought it home about a year ago and most of the lights were out. I thought I wouldhave to rip it open and rewire but turned out it was the battery holder.

I'll have to get back with him now that they are working again.

When I took the lights version of the photos it was dark out and no lights were on in the dining room where I put it. I had on two living room table lamps on in the other room and took two quick shots with my Motorola RAZR camera phone. They turned out better then I thought.

Even better! You might also want to try it without anything illuminated in the background and away from any open doors or windows or whatever that is between the nacelles.

I actually did try that too. Here is a link to more pictures of it and a few other models. I have a Darth Vader cape my brother made for me as part of my, ahem, costume, that I may try to use to hide things later.
