Ok, I'm definitely glad to put Mr. Bennett in the good guy column. he was looking pretty shaky there for a while, but this episode more than sealed it.

There is also tons of speculation than can be made off of the episode.

Does Hiro's dad have powers? Since they usually work in teams, he could have been the powered side.

Who was Invisible Guy hiding? Could be Shadowcat man, possibly Telepath Cop, hell maybe even Radioactive man. I don't remember too much of their backstory.

Who was the actor playing Mr. Bennett's superior? He looked awfully familiar.

Also, the preview for next week's episode was great. It gave hints of major plot points being resolved while new ones culd come up, I think they should have their preview department move over to Lost to show them how it is done.

Bennet clearly walks in a 'Gray' world, which makes him QUITE AWESOME.

My only question is; Who was the Haitian taking orders from? Did he grow a conscience and track down Nathan when he was in New York?

He said from "someone in [Bennett's] daughter's life." It then cut to Bennett and Claude driving along. Added to the episode's commentary from Jack Coleman (who plays Bennett) as well as a writer and the director of the episode who said they had to cut some scenes of Claude giving Claire her first teddy bear and that Claude was "not only a surrogate uncle, but a surrogate father," I'd take it to mean that the Haitian was referring to Claude.

I really wish I could listen to the Podcasts. That's pretty cool that maybe Claire will meet up with Claude and perhaps her 'uncle' Peter. Maybe then Peter will get her to Nathan. I have to believe that when confronted with a sweet, lovable, determined daughter that Nathan will start to do the 'right thing' about all of this.

Best episode yet, IMO. I loved that the episode focused on Bennet's family and didn't digress from them, and the goodbye scene was very well done.

Eric Roberts.

In other news, I'm getting really sick of the "FOMG SIMONE CAN HEAL" people. They're everywhere. Either that or they say she has multiplicity since apparently there's two of her in the same shot. I was inclined to think it was either a nightmare or guilt-induced hallucination, but people apparently can't accept that Simone A) does not have powers and B) is dead.

Anyone know why they have a hiatus for the month of March after this next episode?

One of the theories about seeing Simone is:

The 'new' woman at the AWI can do a shape-changing thing to project images over herself, and she's tormenting Peter and/or Issac in that shot

Its a good theory.

No, it's retarded. Unless they'd like to explain how she gets to that apartment in NYC from Odessa in mere minutes since I doubt Isaac or Peter will just let her sit there for a day or so staring at her. Honestly, the only hint they've given in regards to any powers she might have is when Thompson says that she's going to "clean up [Bennet's] mess." I took that to mean the nuking of Bennet's house. Even if he was referring to Simone being blown away I don't know how tormenting Isaac or Peter would be cleaning up said mess.

It also doesn't really explain how they knew that she was dead, we'll see on Monday, but it's got to be either one of Peter's dreams or a hallucination. She wasn't the worst character on teh show, but she will more than likely be more useful dead than alive.

I have a theory that Peter's dreams is the result of a power that he picked up from Simone's dad. Remember back in "Genesis" how he told Peter that he dreamed that he and Peter were flying together. This admitedly is tenous, although if Simone end's up having a power the chances that a member of her family having one as well increases.

And what were Eric Roberts, Mr. Bennett, Claude, Sulu and Hiro doing on Simone's dad's roof?

It was the same set, but that doesn't automatically imply the same building.

It wouldn't be very hard to find another rooftop set, or even just use some random non-descript room.

I have enough faith in their production team to not simply not think about the similarities, as that would be a needlessly massive oversite on their part.

But it doesn't make any sense to take a baby from Odessa, Texas and fly to New York City just to give the baby to someone who lives in Odessa, Texas.

If you're going to argue that they flew to NYC to meet Hiro's dad- guess what, Texas has airports, too.

Not to mention there was the pigeon cage there during the flashback.

(Well, at least I think I saw a pigeon cage.)

Bennett recognised the rooftop in one of Isaac's paintings if you remember so he obviously had some familiarity with the building.

Again in the commentary (which lags behind considerably, due to being shot a fair while before the episode airs, from what I can tell) they said the gap between shooting an episode and when it has to air is getting "closer and closer." So, by now, they've probably hit that spot and simply run out of time, and need some breathing space.

How soon after the fire did that scene take place? Baby Claire had probably been studied at Bad Guy HQ for a while before they put her with the Bennet.
Don't hate; appreciate!

This is the world where people have fucking superpowers. You can't suspend disbelief for some beauracratic waste and inefficiency?

Having now watched the episode again on DVR, I noticed a great detail that I missed on first viewing: when Ted ("Nuclear Man") blasts Bennet and hurls him through the air, you can see the nails in the soles of Bennet's shoes glowing for the split second that his feet are visible in the shot. :D

Now that just creams high production values.

Also, I don't think Bennet or Telelpath cop are going to ever have any more kids. Ever.
